Regular assessment of doctors refers to the institution or organization entrusted by the health administrative department of the local people's government at or above the county level to assess the professional level, work performance and professional ethics of doctors according to the practice standards of doctors. The regular examination for doctors is divided into the examination for practicing doctors and the examination for practicing assistant doctors. The assessment categories are clinical, traditional Chinese medicine, oral and public health. The regular assessment of doctors takes two years as a cycle.

The assessment results are divided into qualified and unqualified. If the work performance, professional ethics and business level are unqualified in an assessment or evaluation, it is unqualified.

Doctors who have passed the standardized training of residents or passed the examination of professional and technical positions at the next higher level according to the regulations during the examination period can be regarded as qualified in the examination of professional level, and only their work performance and professional ethics are assessed during the examination.

If the assessed doctor disagrees with the assessment results, he may apply for review to the assessment institution within 30 days from the date of receiving the assessment results. The assessment institution shall, within 30 days from the date of receiving the application for review, review the assessment results of doctors and notify the doctors themselves in writing of the review opinions.

The administrative department of health shall record the examination results in the column of "Practice Record" of "Doctor's Practice Certificate" and enter it into the information base of doctor's practice registration.

For doctors who fail to pass the examination, the health administrative department may order them to suspend their practice for 3 to 6 months and receive training and continuing medical education; After the expiration of the suspension of practice activities, the evaluation agency will re-evaluate. Those who pass the examination are allowed to continue practicing, but doctors are not allowed to evaluate and promote during this examination period; If the examination is unqualified, the health administrative department shall cancel the registration and withdraw the doctor's practice certificate.
