Shanghai Science and Technology Museum has a special foreign exhibition venue. The venue is located on the B 1 floor of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, with an area of about1200m2. Water and electricity supply is complete, and the exhibition area is equipped with special passages and ticket outlets.
The temporary exhibition hall is an ideal place for exhibitions. Exhibitors can hold it independently, or jointly organize and co-organize various popular science exhibitions and scientific and technological achievements with the Science and Technology Museum. The basement is the main exhibition area of the first phase of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. There are five exhibition areas: biological Vientiane, crustal exploration, children's science park, audio-visual park, designer's cradle, and four-dimensional dynamic cinema. Biological Vientiane
The landscape of the Biological Vientiane Exhibition Area imitates the natural scenery of Yunnan, China, and introduces biodiversity to people. Biodiversity mainly includes three levels: genetic diversity, species diversity and ecological diversity. The exhibition area is divided into tropical rain forest area and Shilin area, with an exhibition area of 3000 square meters. The layers of tropical rainforest plants in the rainforest area show the diversity of species. The bat cave, amphibian crawling angle, micro-world, insect garden and bird kingdom in Shilin area reflect the ecological diversity. "Forest Research Station" reveals the diversity of genes and reflects the frontier achievements of gene technology.
Crustal exploration
The crust exploration exhibition area shows that the earth is a "dynamic structure" that moves all the time and has its own laws of development and evolution through comprehensive means such as simulated scenes, interactive exhibits/exhibits, specimens, movies and multimedia. The layout of the whole exhibition area is based on the idea of "observing natural phenomena → sorting out and analyzing typical phenomena → understanding natural laws". Designer cradle
The exhibition theme of the designer's cradle is computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), with an exhibition area of 800㎡. Visitors can personally participate in some simple design and manufacturing activities here and experience some basic technologies of modern design and advanced manufacturing, including (CAD/CAM), laser recording technology and rapid prototyping technology.
