Henan Communications Vocational and Technical College is located in Zhengzhou, an important birthplace of Chinese civilization, a national historical and cultural city, eight ancient capitals of China, an important comprehensive transportation hub in China and a national central city. Founded in 1953, the school is affiliated to the Henan Provincial Department of Transportation and is an engineering college with distinctive traffic characteristics. The school has experienced the historical evolution of Henan Provincial Bureau cadre training class, Henan Traffic Cadre School, Zhengzhou Jiaotong University and Henan Traffic School.

The school has four campuses, namely Zhengdong New District, Hanghai Road, Taoyuan Road and Xinzheng Longhu, and Jiyuan Xiaolangdi Comprehensive Training Base, with a total area of 1.506 mu, a total construction area of 474,300 square meters, a total teaching equipment value of 239 million yuan, total assets of 93 million yuan, a library collection of more than1.500 books, and a perfect garden-style campus.
