Folk folk prescription: the method of making traditional Chinese medicine to treat recurrent abdominal pain in children
Abdominal pain is one of the common clinical symptoms in children. Any pain below xiphoid process, on both sides of navel and above pubic bone is called abdominal pain. According to statistics, from infancy to primary school, more than 1/3 children have experienced abdominal pain. Abdominal pain involves many pathological changes, and many internal and surgical diseases can have abdominal pain symptoms. The reasons are functional and organic. What is mentioned here refers to the recurrent abdominal pain in children who are confined to the umbilical region except for organic lesions. The onset age is 3 ~ 14 years old, and the incidence rate of school-age children is 10% ~ 20%. Traditional Chinese medicine calls this disease "intestinal gas disease", "intestinal pain" or "intestinal gas", and thinks that its occurrence is mostly related to ascaris infection, improper diet, cold, spleen and stomach weakness, qi stagnation and blood stasis, and liver qi invading the stomach. According to the different clinical manifestations of children, it can be divided into the following types of syndrome differentiation treatment.

1. Abdominal pain caused by insect accumulation: Periumbilical pain is common, and it stops as soon as it hurts. In severe cases, vomiting occurs, eating is painful and the body is thin. The main treatment is killing insects, inducing stagnation and relaxing bowels, and the prescription is modified with Wu Mei Pill.

2. Abdominal pain caused by eating: refers to abdominal pain caused by children's improper diet, overeating greasy and crispy products and damaging the spleen and stomach. It is characterized by chest tightness, loss of appetite, acid regurgitation, abdominal distension and pain, bad breath and thick coating. Infants and young children can vomit undigested milk or undigested food, or cry and be agitated. Baohe Pill can be used for treating dyspepsia and stagnation, and Jiao Sanxian can also be used for treatment.

3. Abdominal pain due to cold coagulation: Children are usually physically weak. When the temperature gets cold, cold pathogens easily invade the abdomen, causing abdominal pain due to cold coagulation and qi stagnation. It is characterized by paroxysmal abdominal pain, or loose stool, prolonged urination, blue complexion, acid swallowing, cold limbs and reduced heat pain. Xiaojianzhong decoction or Evodia rutaecarpa decoction can be used to treat warming middle warmer and dispelling cold.

4. Abdominal pain caused by drinking cold: it is caused by children's overeating and cold, melons and fruits. And drinking cold in summer is the easiest to induce. It is characterized by paroxysmal abdominal pain, especially periumbilical pain, nausea and vomiting, vomit with sour taste and food residue, bowel sounds and diarrhea, and normal stool examination. Appropriate temperature in dispelling cold, promoting qi circulation and relieving pain, Sini decoction is modified. When vomiting and diarrhea, taking Huoxiang Zhengqi Water is also effective.

5. Abdominal pain due to spleen deficiency: refers to chronic abdominal pain caused by weakness of spleen and stomach in children. It is characterized by weakness, weakness of limbs, shortness of breath, laziness, indigestion, vomiting or diarrhea, and dull pain in the abdomen. It is advisable to strengthen the spleen and replenish qi, and the stomach has wet infiltration.

6. Stomach pain caused by liver qi: The symptoms are fullness in the upper abdomen, severe pain around the navel, stopping when the pain occurs, and being good at hyperventilation. Abdominal pain is relieved after ascending qi, and it recurs again. Abdominal pain will appear every time the mood changes. Chaihu Shugan Powder is used to soothe the liver, regulate qi, regulate stomach and relieve pain.

7. Abdominal pain due to qi stagnation and blood stasis: manifested as distension, pain and discomfort around the umbilicus, refusal to press it when it hurts, or pain like acupuncture, where the pain is fixed (around the umbilicus), or touching a lump, pushing it and pressing it very painfully, with dull complexion and dark red tongue, or with petechiae on the tongue and weak or astringent pulse. Treatment should regulate qi and remove blood stasis, dissipate stagnation and relieve pain, and Shaofu Zhuyu decoction is often used for addition and subtraction. If the symptoms of qi stagnation are obvious, Fructus Toosendan and Radix Linderae can be added to relieve pain. If there is a lump in the abdomen, a small amount of Rhizoma Sparganii, Rhizoma Curcumae and Squama Manis can be added as appropriate to dissipate blood stasis and relieve pain.

In short, there are many causes of abdominal pain in children, which should be carefully identified according to their clinical manifestations. On the basis of dialectical medication, we can also combine acupuncture, massage, physical therapy and other methods according to the specific situation of children. In addition, usually pay attention to prevention and aftercare, eat regularly, don't overeat, don't eat cold, fried and greasy products; Pay attention to food hygiene, wash vegetables and cook, wash and peel melons and fruits, do not drink raw water, and wash your hands before and after meals; Pay attention to keep your abdomen warm.
