Microbiology room 1 practice summary
Time flies, time flies, unconsciously, the practice time in the microbiology room is drawing to a close.
In retrospect, I really learned a lot under the guidance of my tutor during my three-month internship in the microbiology room. Through my own diligence, I actively assisted the teacher to complete the bacteriology inspection project, and found that my operational ability had been greatly improved, but also made greater progress, and I was more skilled than when I was at school. For example, it used to take a few minutes to adjust the brightness of the microscope to find the field of vision. Now, after three months' practice in the microbiology room of the hospital laboratory, all these minor problems have disappeared. More bacteria can be identified under the microscope by staining, such as staphylococcal infection, streptococcus, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Enterobacter of Bacillidae, and fungal spores can also be seen at a glance under the microscope.
In a word, I feel that I have learned a lot during my three-month internship in microbiology. Through personal practice, I combined the theoretical knowledge I learned in school with practice, thus further deepening my understanding of bacteriology. Under the careful guidance of the teaching teacher, I have been familiar with the inoculation of various specimens, bacterial culture, preliminary identification of bacteria and drug sensitivity test of bacteria.
I'm here to make a summary and better review what I learned in the microbiology room of the hospital laboratory.
Summary of the second practice in microbiology laboratory
This internship, I was assigned to the Department of Microbiology with three other students. The teacher in charge of the internship in our microbiology department is Mr. Han, who is very easy-going. The internship task assigned to us is that everyone follows a type of clinical specimen. He asked to follow the samples from the time they were sent to the microbiology department until he got the final report, and recorded what he saw and gained from it. Through this process, we can learn as much as possible about the microbial system. In addition, Mr. Han also let us know the use and operation methods of some large-scale automation instruments, so as to prepare for our faster adaptation to the internship in the future.
On the first day of practice, we looked at the inoculated specimens. After seeing the skilled inoculation process of the teachers there, we deeply feel that the speed of doing laboratory is too slow at ordinary times, and it is impossible to complete the clinical work of inoculating hundreds of specimens every day at our speed. In addition, we also observed the clinical Gram staining and found that it was different from our experiment. The main difference is that fast dyes are used in clinic to improve the dyeing speed. In a word, what we learned from this day's internship is that efficiency is very important in clinic.
On the second and third day of practice, we looked at the identification of clinical specimens. For some bacteria, a teacher with rich clinical experience can initially judge which kind of bacteria it is by observing the simple physical properties such as colony characteristics and smell, which surprises us greatly. There is also a very enthusiastic teacher in the department who explained in detail the identification methods of some common clinical microorganisms in his spare time, which benefited us a lot. On the fourth day of probation, the drug sensitivity reaction of clinical specimens was observed. On this day, we learned in detail how to do drug sensitivity reactions in clinic and what drug sensitivity reactions different microorganisms need to do, which are valuable knowledge that we can't learn in class.
On the last day, we watched how the microbial system carried out quality control. Through this day's internship, we deeply realized the importance of quality control for clinical laboratories. Before, we just learned from the book that it is very important for taking this subject, but we can't understand it in depth. This internship gave us a good opportunity to realize it in practice. In addition to these, every day when the teachers in the department are free, we will ask them to explain to us the functions of various incubators in microbiology, the operation methods of ATB instruments and the uses and operation methods of other instruments, so that we can have a more comprehensive understanding of microbiology.
Five days passed in a blink of an eye, and my internship ended successfully before I knew it, but I could learn more than what we learned in a month at school. Looking back on my life during this period, I feel that I have lived a full and happy life, and more importantly, I have learned a lot. I believe that the harvest during this period will be a valuable asset in my life. I also believe that this internship exercise will help me to integrate into the upcoming internship life and future work more quickly.
Summary of Practice in Microbiology Room 3
(A), internship content
1. During my internship, I learned a lot about fungi that are not easy to see at ordinary times. By searching for information, I learned about their taxonomic status, morphological and structural characteristics and functions.
2. In practice, I combine textbook knowledge with practical experience and apply theory to practice, so as to have a deeper understanding of the world of microorganisms, especially fungi.
During my internship, I had more opportunities to communicate with my classmates, especially when climbing mountains. Everyone took care of each other, encouraged each other, lived together at night and cared for each other, and formed a deep friendship with my classmates.
(B), the feelings of the internship
1, the textbook knowledge we have learned is only theoretical, and we can really understand, master and apply it only through practice.
2. Mutual cooperation between students can often achieve twice the result with half the effort by relying on the toes alone. Only a lot of communication and mutual concern between students and people will lead to a more harmonious relationship.
(C), lack of practice
1, the practice time is short, and relatively few fungi are found.
2. I have learned too little knowledge and fungi, and there are still many places to be supplemented and improved in my future study.
3. I didn't communicate with the teacher in time during the internship, which led to many problems that I didn't understand.
