Experience Sharing of Postgraduate Entrance Examination in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics of Northeast Normal University

I have studied linguistics and applied linguistics in Northeast Normal University for 20 years, with a total score of 465,438+05. I want to share this unforgettable experience with my classmates here.

I. School Selection and Specialty Introduction

About February-March, I collected a lot of school materials for comparison. I first determined the major I want to take, then looked at the strength of the school, and finally chose according to the region. But later, because I was too tired to choose, I decided to be in a city with my friends. It was decided after I happened to see the schools in Shanghai. At first, I didn't choose a school in the northeast, and my friends also prepared a school in the northeast. During preparation, we encouraged each other many times. I think the most attractive thing about Shanghai International Studies University is that the information is very open, the feedback is timely, and the students are taken care of. The information is notified in advance, and the ratio of the first trial and the second trial is 1: 1. Personal information is not allowed to be disclosed during the second trial, which is very fair. Of course, this will bring great pressure to the top students in the initial test.

Linguistics and applied linguistics are divided into theoretical linguistics and phonetics laboratories, which actually overlap with Chinese language and writing majors in terms of curriculum and theory. But the research object is not limited to modern Chinese, but also includes national languages, dialects and even foreign languages. The theoretical framework is more macroscopic and comprehensive, so there are more books to read in the postgraduate stage, which is relatively more difficult to learn, but the competitiveness of applying for the exam is correspondingly less. Students are required to master the basic theory and skillfully use it, with strong logical thinking ability and awareness of being good at finding problems. The phonetics laboratory is more "different", focusing on the application fields such as speech therapy and national language speech analysis, with speech experiment and programming as the main research methods. Ethnic minorities, foreign students and students from Southwest China are particularly recommended to apply for linguistics and applied linguistics, and those interested in semantics, pragmatics, discourse and historical linguistics are also suitable.

Second, the initial experience.

1, English 1

The general purpose of English is: good morning. The sooner each link starts, the better!

(1) word

Words are a very important part and need to be memorized from beginning to end. I started memorizing words very early. Reciting words from the time I decided to take the postgraduate entrance examination until the day before the postgraduate entrance examination. Unfortunately, I spent too much time fishing in the middle. I regret it! As a result, there are still many new words when I brush the real questions later. The saddest thing is that I don't know the words in the stalk, and finally I guess the words wrong. I really want to beat myself to death. When I arrived at the examination room, what I was worried about happened. I memorized the template of the big and small composition, and I was so happy that I wanted to finish it. But what does this word mean when I see the requirements of small composition? I don't know what to do. God wants to kill me, so I have to skip it in despair. Regret, only regret.

I bought Zhu Wei's love story and watched it in combination with his video. Seeing the experience posted by senior students and sisters that there was too much nonsense in Zhu Wei's videos in the past two years, I watched the video of 20 18. Even with 18, he doesn't talk much nonsense, but each video is too long. I watched it for a long time at twice the speed. So after reading the first two units, I only read word analysis, not long and difficult sentences. After ten units, I didn't even watch the video, but recited the words (mainly because I spent three days fishing and two days surfing the net, so I didn't have time to watch the video later. It's too dry! Don't be like me)

In short, recite the words (new words and real questions in the word book) directly to the day of postgraduate entrance examination! Personally, I think that no matter which word book it is, its function is only a word book. As long as we can persist in memorizing it as users, it is a good reference book. When memorizing, you can review the memorized words in time in combination with the memory forgetting curve.

Step 2 read

Because I often surf the Internet, I only brushed the real questions from 97 to 09 once, and I did the real questions from 10 to 19 twice (forgetting one thing, it's all my procrastination! Anyway, I brushed it twice in recent years)

I probably started to do real questions when I was preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination. I didn't read any experience stickers at that time, so I started doing it directly. I made a perfect one and got three or four right. I have no confidence at all! I didn't do it! Then I read the experience post and said it was useless to do the questions in March and April, which would make a lot of mistakes. I must recite the words first. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I really want to laugh at this. It's really not my own problem, so I'm happy to give up doing the real problem! I didn't recite the last sentence after procrastination, and began to do real questions in July!

First of all, I read Jing Tian's grammar and took notes carefully. Finally, I tried to take notes after brushing the video. I was very satisfied, but when I started to do real questions and analyze long and difficult sentences, I found that all the notes I had read before were gone. Why can't I do anything? Cry!

Then do real questions, listen to Tang Chi's video reading, learn skills in the process of doing the questions, and learn how Tang Shu analyzes long and difficult sentences in combination with the real questions just made. It is very effective and memorable!

Therefore, the experience I summed up through this is: if you can't take out your notes at any time, then do the real questions directly, and combine Tang Chi's reading video learning method in the process of doing the real questions.

(3) Writing

At first, I also read the experience post, saying that I had memorized Wang Jiangtao's composition and summarized my own template. Memorizing the composition for so long, I finally caught the net and didn't remember anything! I am awake here. I'm FW. What else do I want to do to make my own template? It's simply overreaching!

Then I found my savior, my goddess Liu Xiaoyan! Look at her composition class! Interesting and useful! She will assemble various templates according to different modules, and finally assemble her own templates according to her own habits! Her course is entirely nanny-level. Okay! I really read her composition class and thought this composition was really too simple! Alas, I threw away all my notes when cleaning the dormitory, so I couldn't take pictures. I am unhappy.

(4) Others

Gestalt, new questions and translation are not easy to get. I really didn't spend much time brushing these questions.

Can you see the gestalt and new problems in Liu Xiaoyan? Video of! What she said is really understandable, suitable for scum like me, and interesting!

Can the translator see Tang Jing? I watched a little video, and then I followed it! I think I saw this, too. Liu Xiaoyan? Video of! She's really great! I think Liu Xiaoyan's method suits me better than Tang Jing's. Liu Xiaoyan's assault on pure dry goods before the exam is entirely nanny-level, with hands-on instruction. Tang Jing is more suitable for people who have enough time to learn slowly, perhaps because I have a poor foundation and I am lazy.

2. Politics

First of all, I bought Xiao Xiurong (after all, he is very good at the politics of postgraduate entrance examination, although he didn't win much last year), and there are 1000 questions in detail. I saw Xu Tao in the video.

Xiao Xiurong's books are comprehensive, but the lectures are too hypnotic. Xu Tao's lectures are very interesting and can keep me listening, but I don't think his books are comprehensive enough. So I use Xiao Lao's book to watch Tao Tao's video, but because the teaching materials are not matched, I often take notes while watching the video and don't know where to sketch! It doesn't matter. You can basically find it. If you want a good listening experience, you can buy Xu Tao's books to match the video. If you think it's not detailed enough, you can look at the PDF of Xiao Xiurong's book.

It's important to practice doing problems? ! It is best to watch a chapter or a paragraph of the video before making the corresponding multiple-choice questions! I recommend watching a section and doing a section, because some chapters are too long and there are too many questions, and you may forget all the previous videos, so you won't do the questions, and the error rate is high, which seriously undermines the enthusiasm for doing the questions! Maybe the final title and video progress are different. Yes, it's all my fault. I cried myself to death. ) Try not to turn over the textbook when doing the 1000 question, and then mark the knowledge points that I haven't mastered after reviewing. You'd better prepare a wrong book.

Do the 1000 question for the first time to match the video progress, but don't wait for the video to finish the question before doing it for the second time. You can start from the beginning and start the second brush in the middle. Brush multiple-choice questions mainly to familiarize yourself with those scattered knowledge points. I only brushed the question 1000 once because I often basked in the net and didn't have enough time. These shortcomings were exposed when I did Xiao four shaw's Eight in the later period. The point is that I don't have time to fix them. So we should lay a good foundation from the beginning. You can often read these scattered knowledge points to deepen your impression.

Xiao Ba's main task is to make multiple-choice knowledge points, and Xiao Si recited big questions crazily. Of course, multiple-choice questions can't be ignored!

Don't think it's too early, think there's still time, think it's not time to learn politics, and start preparing early, which is not harmful but beneficial.

3. Professional courses

I probably started preparing for professional courses from the summer vacation. First of all, I collected all the information, mainly the notes and real questions I bought from my senior sister, plus various bibliographies. After the preparation is completed, start to make a timetable and start targeted review.

Modern Chinese: Modern Chinese is the most important specialized course in Beijing Foreign Studies University, with a full score of 1.80, which can be seen. At first, I took out my freshman notes and read them twice in front of the book to wake up the sleeping memories. Then I took out my handout and Zheng's handout. These two sets of materials have clear ideas and basically cover all test sites, so you should be familiar with them. We should pay attention to the pronunciation, vocabulary, writing and grammar of Modern Chinese by Huang Liao. No matter the size of the topic, we will get it. Also pay attention to sorting out very trivial knowledge points. Just remembering them is not enough. You must be skilled enough to know what knowledge points you think of when you see the topic and how to answer them. Because the exam time is tight, there is no time for you to think. In the vocabulary part, I mainly pay attention to Cheng Juan's class notes. There is nothing to say about this piece, and the content is relatively simple. I don't ask if I understand everything in the handouts and books. The grammar part is very complicated. In addition to in-depth understanding of modern Chinese books, I also referred to Mr. Zhu's grammar lecture notes and Mr. Zhu's Modern Chinese Studies Course. Many knowledge points in these two books have appeared in real questions over the years and are worth reading.

There are also some teachers' key papers. It is also very beneficial to understand and clarify the main ideas of answering questions.

Ancient Chinese: mainly look at the first two volumes of Wang Li's Ancient Chinese, and review it with undergraduate notes. Text+translation+keywords are the most important, followed by general theory. The general theory part draws lessons from the materials compiled by my senior sister, and I basically won the general theory by relying on these materials. Also, don't think that reading ancient prose is just to remember the content and words of this ancient prose. The process of reviewing ancient Chinese is actually the process of accumulating ancient Chinese ability. Words, sentences and key sentence patterns should be integrated, not that I can memorize the text, but that you should sum up the knowledge points of * * * and apply them to an ancient text that you have never read. This ability is very important. The last punctuation translation of ancient Chinese this year is an article you haven't met after class, to examine your reading ability of ancient Chinese. The topic is relatively simple. If you have this ability, there is basically no problem.

Introduction to Linguistics: I think this course is relatively simple. After referring to Xu Ye's version and Hu's version of Introduction to Linguistics, you will find that Hu's version is clearer in thinking and Xu Ye's version is more regular and logical. Therefore, when reviewing, you should refer to two books and sum up your own ideas and methods, so that it will be relatively easy to review. My method is to build a knowledge system for each chapter, review them one by one, and finally form a network of knowledge points, so that an introduction to linguistics is like a folder in your mind, and you can extract that part if necessary. The introduction part can combine the first chapter and the second chapter into one part, which is the basic knowledge of linguistics; Pronunciation, grammar, lexical semantics and writing can be regarded as four parts of review. Some people are willing to combine it with modern Chinese, but it depends on your own habits. Chapter 789 is a process of language evolution and differentiation, which can be regarded as a local review.

Third, the second interview

The preparation for the second interview should start early, and it is not necessary to contact the teacher. Even if the teacher is contacted, it may not be taken care of, but the ability is the most important. The content of the preliminary exam preparation should be reviewed again. Modern Chinese, methodology, linguistic outline and course are still the key points. You can also read more teachers' papers and important research results (just remember the conclusion). Interview is a time to show your knowledge. It is a good highlight if you can combine the teacher's research results with the answers to specific questions. The difficulty of the topic is not much worse than the initial test, and the focus is on oral expression ability.

There are two aspects to the investigation of English. First, when answering professional questions, the teacher may ask some professional terms in English, which is a big aspect that I neglected in my review. It was a pity that I almost didn't answer them during the interview. The second is a special English survey. Some teachers ask questions in English, but they are relatively simple. They may introduce themselves in English or explain a simple professional problem in English. Therefore, it is not difficult to remember more basic terms in English preparation. In addition, the teacher will be very interested in your language background, such as dialect background, national language background, foreign language background and so on. , but this part will not be graded, just as a foreshadowing for future research direction.

Generally speaking, the interview is not difficult, and the questions are still basic, as long as you express clearly and relax.

Fourth, the last message.

Finally, the postgraduate entrance examination, health is very important. It is not recommended that you stay up late and study hard. Sleep is the guarantee of learning quality and efficiency. Don't be too anxious in your mind, keep a normal heart. I wish the postgraduate entrance examination a success!
