Abstract: Professional core competence is the key and basic competence that can be applied to all kinds of occupations and accompanied by lifelong sustainable development. The cultivation of knowledge and vocational core competence is of great practical significance, the development trend of resource development, the important connotation of China's capacity building and the inevitable destination of vocational education reform.
Higher vocational education is an important part of China's system, and its goal is to cultivate high-tech applied talents who support the party's basic line, meet the needs of production, construction and service, and develop morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically. With the development of social occupation and the increase of employment pressure, employers pay more and more attention to professional core competence. Through professional research, school-enterprise cooperation, recruitment and other activities, we find that enterprises pay more and more attention to the professional core competence of employees, especially the ability of self-study, communication, cooperation with others and problem solving, which has become the basic requirement of enterprises. Therefore, the students trained in higher vocational colleges should not only have good humanistic quality, but also have strong professional quality and professional core competence.
First, the connotation of professional core competence
The vocational core competence that students in higher vocational education should possess refers to the basic cross-vocational competence that is essential for any profession, which mainly includes five professional core competencies that individuals possess, such as learning ability, communication ability, social activity ability, organization and management ability and problem-solving ability.
(A) the ability to learn to learn
The ability to learn to learn is the most basic and important professional core ability and should be one of the basic purposes of vocational education. In today's social transformation period, in order to make workers adapt to the requirements of organizational structure change, technological innovation and changing workflow, workers must have the ability to learn to learn. In the past, vocational education paid too much attention to the teaching of book knowledge and not enough attention to the ability to learn to learn. This tendency must be changed in time and effectively.
The ability to learn to learn mainly includes two meanings. First of all, learning to learn means the development of autonomous learning ability. In order to obtain a wider range of professional core competence, it is necessary to enhance learners' autonomous learning ability, and educators should promote the development of learners' thinking ability and learning ability. Secondly, learning to learn means the development of critical learning ability, that is, students have the ability to reflect. Communication ability is one of the most important abilities of social workers today, and people need to have the ability to communicate by using modern information technology. Second, strengthening the cultivation of professional core competence is a realistic requirement today.
With the development of China society, the requirements for talents in the workplace are changing with each passing day, from attaching importance to academic qualifications to abilities, occupations and values. The specifications and connotations of talents are constantly changing and becoming increasingly rich. Professional talents' professional core competencies such as "self-learning, information processing, digital application, communication with people, cooperation with people, problem solving and innovative application" and "professional loyalty, responsibility, career enterprising and innovation, teamwork and professional norms", healthy and correct values and comprehensive quality with professional core competencies as the main body, are important factors for career competition, entry development and promotion success.

Job hunting and employment is the first step for professionals to enter the society or work. Who does the society need and what does the employer value? It is the key to the employment competition of professionals. On March 19/20, 2005, Shenzhen held a two-way selection conference for spring graduates, and 600 employers entered the market to recruit, providing 6,000 jobs, and put forward specifications and conditions for recruiters. From the breakdown of the recruitment conditions of 135 enterprises, except the hardware conditions such as academic qualifications and majors, other quality requirements are counted as one item every time, with a total of more than 5,500 data, which are divided into two categories according to their basic nature: "professional core competence" and "professional ethics and attitude". In the category of "professional core competence", according to the number of requirements put forward by employers, the order is: (1) communication and expression; (2) foreign languages; (3) information processing (application); (4) Analyze and solve problems; (5) organization and coordination; (6) innovation; (7) Learning and understanding ability, etc. In the category of "professional ethics and attitude", the order is: (1) teamwork spirit, affinity, easygoing, cheerful, modest, willing to associate with people; (2) sense of responsibility, dedication, responsibility, initiative, carefulness and carefulness; (3) Strong adaptability, able to work under certain pressure, hard-working; (4) Integrity, honesty, pragmatism and loyalty; (5) Constantly surpassing, daring to challenge, pursuing Excellence, enterprising, confident and optimistic; (6) Be cautious, self-disciplined and disciplined. Some recruiters have no clear requirements for comprehensive quality in their recruitment conditions. What criteria do they use to finalize the candidates? The first three months or half a year of an individual's first entry into the workplace is a critical period for employment, and it is an important time for employers to examine the actual work ability and character of recruiters. In April, 2005, the book "Why don't I want fresh graduates" was published, which alerted "social pride" and called on "educators" to think deeply. The book records the reasons described by 1 1 bosses, bosses and personnel cadres for dismissing fresh graduates, and expresses the helplessness and helpless sigh of these bosses who hate iron and cannot produce steel. None of these college students who were dismissed by employers in less than half a year did not meet the professional standards. These examples are typical, reflecting that our professionals are on the right track, but many graduates have weak core competence, misplaced values and failed in their career start. It is also proved from the opposite side that career development, values are the driving force and foundation, and professional core competence is the basic support; Professional core competence and values are of great significance in the workplace.
(3) Professional core competence and correct values are the core of successful promotion.
Everyone is eager for success, but what can we rely on to achieve career success? Kai-fu Lee, who was once one of the seven top think tanks of Bill Gates and once the global vice president of Microsoft, provided his own good answer. In 2005, he wrote a very sought-after book among college students and professionals: Be the Best of Yourself. The "pride of science and technology" that China college students really admire introduces his knowledge and experience of pursuing diversified success and being the "best self" based on his life experience and career success. He believes that the success of life lies in six basic behaviors: discovering interest, pursuing ideals, effectively implementing, studying hard, interpersonal communication and cooperation; These six behaviors come from six most important attitudes towards life: courage, self-confidence, introspection, positivity, sympathy and mind; The correct attitude towards life and behavior comes from the guidance of correct values. He believes that behavior, attitude and values are closely linked, forming a "concentric circle of success" with honesty and values as the core.
In 2005, Yan Jiehe, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sushang Construction Group, ranked second in Hurun's China Rich List, visited CCTV. When answering college students' questions about "how to succeed in life", he came to the same conclusion. "Small success depends on talent, great success depends on virtue", which is the basic experience of all successful people.
The goal of vocational education is to cultivate all-round modern professional talents, so that every professional can find a satisfactory job and live happily. Then, we should accurately grasp the specifications of professional talents and give students "dry food" (professional skills), "gun" (core competence) and "compass" (values). Without dry food, you can't go on the road; Without guns, it is difficult to sustain; Without a compass, you will go in the wrong direction and may not be able to move. Therefore, strengthening the cultivation of professional core competence is an inevitable trend of vocational education development.
