Connection method:
Copper tube crimping, splint connection and terminal crimping are adopted.
Precautions for installing power cable connector connection:
1, wire connection
Conductor connection requires low resistance and sufficient mechanical strength, and sharp corners cannot appear at the connection. Crimping is usually used for conductor connection of medium and low voltage cables. Please note the following points:
(1) Select the conductor connecting pipe with appropriate conductivity and mechanical strength;
(2) The fit clearance between the inner diameter of the pressure pipe and the outer diameter of the connecting wire core is 0.8 ~1.4 mm;
(3) After crimping, the resistance value of the joint should not be greater than 1.2 times of the conductor with equal cross section, and the tensile strength of the copper conductor joint should not be less than 60N/mm2;; ;
(4) Before crimping, coating conductive adhesive on the outer surface of the conductor and the inner surface of the connecting pipe, and destroying the oxide film with a wire brush;
(5) Sharp corners, burrs, etc. The conductor on the connecting pipe and wire core shall be polished smooth with a file or sandpaper.
2. Internal semiconductor shielding treatment
Where the cable body has an internal shielding layer, it is necessary to restore the internal shielding layer of the conductor part of the crimp tube when making the joint, and a part of the internal semiconductor shield of the cable should be reserved, so that the internal shields of the connectors on the connecting tube can be communicated with each other to ensure the continuity of the internal semiconductors, so that the field strength distribution at the connecting tube is uniform.
3. Treatment of external semiconductor shield
The external semiconductor shielding layer is a kind of semiconductor material, which plays the role of uniform electric field outside the insulation layer of cables and connectors. Like internal semiconductor shielding, it plays a very important role in cables and connectors. The external semiconductor port must be uniform, and it also requires a smooth transition with insulation, and a semiconductor tape is added at the joint to connect with the external semiconductor shield of the cable.
4, cable reaction cone processing
During construction, the potential distribution of the reaction cone with accurate shape and size is equal on the whole cone surface. When making the cross-linked cable reaction cone, a special cutting tool is generally used, or it can be heated slightly with a small fire and cut with a sharp knife. After basic molding, scrape it with 2mm thick glass, and finally polish it with sandpaper from coarse to fine until smooth.
5, metal shielding and grounding treatment
The role of metal shielding in cables and connectors is mainly used to conduct the short-circuit current of cable faults and shield the electromagnetic interference of electromagnetic fields to adjacent communication equipment. In the running state, the metal shield is at zero potential in a good grounding state, and it has the ability to conduct short-circuit current in a very short time after the cable fault occurs. The grounding wire shall be welded reliably, and the metal shield and armored belt on the cable body of both end boxes shall be welded firmly, and the terminal head shall be grounded reliably.
6, joint sealing and mechanical protection
The sealing and mechanical protection of the joint are the guarantee to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the joint. Water and moisture should be prevented from infiltrating into the joints, and joint protection grooves or cement protection boxes should be built at the joints.
