In 2006, National University of Defense Technology published 32 SCI papers, 527 EI papers and 2028 papers in Chinese core journals. 89 papers were cited by SCI 177 times, nearly 3000 times in China. In 2006, Wang Shaogang and Guan Xinpu of the School of Electronic Science and Engineering published a paper entitled "Research on Electromagnetic Scattering of Mixed Conductors/Dielectric Objects by Using the Higher Order Moment Method" in "Research Progress of Electromagnetism -Pierre", which won the title of "the most influential 100 international academic papers in China in 2007". The school undertakes the important task of engaging in advanced weapons and equipment and key technologies of defense research, and has achieved a large number of scientific research results. More than 2,000 achievements have won national, military and provincial science and technology awards, including 5 national special prizes, 9 first prizes, 48 second prizes and 245 military and provincial first prizes. Represented by Galaxy series supercomputers, "Tianhe" petascale supercomputer system, "Beidou" satellite navigation and positioning system, medium and low-speed maglev trains, high-performance routers and driverless cars, more than 4,000 achievements have been made.

Collection resources

The library of National University of Defense Technology was founded in 1953, formerly known as the library of Harbin Institute of Military Engineering, and moved to Changsha with the main body of the school in 1970. After the former Changsha Artillery College, Changsha Academy of Engineering and Changsha Institute of Political Science 1999 were merged into the National University of Defense Technology, the libraries of the three colleges were also merged into the National University of Defense Technology Library. There are three buildings in the library, including the central building in Campus No.1 and two branches in Campus No.3 and No.4, with a total construction area of 335 15 square meters and more than 3,670 reading seats, which are open for 90 hours every week.
