The difference between English practical writing and argumentative writing
Practical writing consists of three parts: proposing a topic (viewpoint or case)+giving examples to explain the reasons+drawing conclusions.

Argumentative essay: three parts: raising a topic+refuting argument+drawing a conclusion. The second part accounts for a large proportion, but the most important ones are the first and third parts, which are often the most telling.

These two kinds of articles are similar: they both start with a question or a point of view and finally draw a conclusion.
