In the production of plastic products, high-quality mold design, advanced mold manufacturing equipment, reasonable processing technology, high-quality mold materials and modern molding equipment are all important conditions for forming high-quality plastics.
Especially in recent years, with the rapid development of plastic industry, the strength and precision of general plastics and engineering plastics have been continuously improved, and the application scope of plastic products has been continuously expanded, such as household appliances, instruments and meters, construction equipment, automobile industry, daily hardware and many other fields, and the proportion of plastic products has increased rapidly. A reasonably designed plastic part can often replace many traditional metal parts. The plasticizing trend of industrial products and daily products is on the rise. In industrial production, various presses and special tools installed on the presses are used to make metal or nonmetal materials into parts or products with required shapes through pressure. This special tool is collectively called the mold.
Mould occupies an increasingly prominent position in the national economy. It can be said that on the one hand, human beings can't live without mold. Mould is the basic technological equipment of machinery, automobile, electronics, communication, household appliances and other industrial products, and belongs to high-tech products. As a basic industry, mold's quality, accuracy and service life play a very important role in the development of other industries, and it is called "the mother of industry" internationally. With the rapid development of China's national economy, the mold industry, as the basis of industrial products, has also flourished and has become an important industry in national economic construction. Mold industry not only occupies an important position in the national economy, but also stands out in the world market. Overall, the world mould market is in short supply, and the market demand is between 60 billion and 65 billion dollars. Nowadays, the development of mold industry has even surpassed the emerging electronic industry.
According to the products manufactured, molds can be divided into plastic molds (injection molds, casting molds and blow molds), stamping molds, casting molds, rubber molds and glass molds. Among them, injection mold and stamping mold are widely used, mature in technology and occupy a large proportion. Taking the mold design of protective sleeve as an example, the technological characteristics of plastics, the technological parameters of ABS plastics, the structural forms of cavity and core, the mechanism design of mold and the selection principle of mold base are discussed in detail, so as to integrate theory with practice and reflect the advanced level at home and abroad.
