The College of Law and Politics of Zhejiang Normal University was formerly the Department of Political History founded by 1977, and 1980 was renamed the Department of Political Education. 1996 added a new law major and renamed it the Department of Political Science and Law. 1999 The Department of Political Science and Law merged with the Department of Social Sciences to form the School of Political Science and Economics.
