Review of literature retrieval course
I. Observations

The main content of literature retrieval course is to introduce the development process of literature, the types and characteristics of scientific and technological literature, the basic knowledge of literature retrieval, the characteristics and retrieval methods of various professional journals, books, reference books and patents, as well as the characteristics of professional databases and their retrieval symbols, retrieval process and retrieval result processing. Therefore, the classroom teaching process is rather boring, and I feel lack of interest in literature class, which leads to no gain in course learning.

Second, suggestions

I have the following suggestions for literature retrieval course: (1) Improve teaching methods, make full use of multimedia teaching methods, and combine teaching practice. For example, according to the existing library conditions, make full use of teaching resources such as library catalogue, library database and Internet. In addition, the retrieval content is set up in combination with students' professional courses and graduation thesis writing, so that students can get comprehensive training in literature retrieval, thus improving their learning interest and thesis quality and achieving ideal teaching results. The above methods can not only enable students to master various retrieval methods, but also enable students to obtain relevant documents and materials, so as to truly achieve the purpose of applying what they have learned.

(2) Try to carry out interactive teaching. For example, according to the subject direction of students' graduation design in the future, choose some less difficult subjects. Secondly, teachers guide students to determine the retrieval content related to the theme, and help students analyze and refine the retrieval results, so that they can gradually complete the retrieval theme, that is, combine recall and precision to complete the retrieval.

(3) Cultivating students' ability of summarizing scientific research by using literature retrieval course. Through the teaching of literature retrieval course, it is very beneficial to guide students to understand the writing methods and requirements of literature review, both for their further study and for the cultivation of their thinking mode in their future work. Generally speaking, literature review refers to the study of a specific topic in a certain period of time, the full collection of relevant literature, and then on the basis of systematic and comprehensive analysis and research, summed up into a comprehensive narrative, belonging to three documents.

Finally, I personally feel that the course of document retrieval is not only a practical and applied skill course, but also a boring course. Therefore, teachers should not only explain retrieval methods, but also formulate teaching methods according to students' characteristics. More importantly, they should offer more internship courses in combination with students' professional characteristics, so that students can consolidate their knowledge of document retrieval, have a strong enthusiasm for document retrieval courses, explore retrieval methods and deepen their understanding of professional fields.

Third, understanding (the feeling of literature retrieval in my mind)

I don't know what elective courses are for when I choose them. But I initially thought it might be to retrieve information! Later, after the teacher's explanation, I realized that literature retrieval is the basic method of literature retrieval in this course and can cultivate our literature retrieval skills. Learning and technology need literature, and the improvement of personal comprehensive quality needs literature. Life cannot be separated from all kinds of information, information retrieval tools and retrieval skills! However, this retrieval idea will play a greater role in our future life, so we should accumulate more knowledge about retrieval tools on the Internet (including search engines and retrieval skills), which may bring us greater benefits. Because as college students, how can we improve our ability to obtain and use literature information? How to update your knowledge structure after joining the job, so as not to fall behind. Therefore, the ability to acquire knowledge and information has become one of the important abilities that college students must possess.
