So how did autism come from?
For more than half a century, after many scientists' research and exploration, the cause of the disease has not been fully understood at present. However, more and more data prove that children's autism is mainly caused by many biological factors, and social and psychological factors also play a certain role in the occurrence and development of the disease, such as family environment, parent-child relationship, parental rearing patterns, parents' personality characteristics, education level, occupation and economic level, which play an important role in children's psychological development. According to the existing epidemiological survey data, the incidence of the disease is 1000 children, and there are 2 ~ 13 autistic children, with a significant gender difference of 7 ~ 9: 1.
What are the main manifestations of autism in children?
Children with autism are mostly manifested as:
(1) Loneliness. Is that I don't associate with people. Unable to establish normal contact with people, some children have shown this situation since infancy.
There is a characteristic, such as not being close to parents since childhood, and not liking being hugged, that is, when others want to hug him, they don't reach out and show the gesture of expecting to hug him, and they don't take the initiative to find children to play with. When others find him to play, they show avoidance and don't respond to the call, and they always like to move alone. Some children don't refuse others, but they don't communicate with their children, that is, they lack social skills. For example, when looking for a child, you either suddenly slap someone in the face, or suddenly arrest someone, or suddenly hug someone, and then leave by yourself, without touching the content and purpose of people. They are indifferent to the things around them, as if they were deaf, and they can do whatever they want, with no scruples and no one watching. What happened around them seems to have nothing to do with him, and it is difficult to attract his interest and attention. Eyes often change, and it is not easy to stay on what others let him pay attention to. They seem to live in Xiaotian's own land. In addition, their eyes don't look at each other or even avoid each other's eyes. In normal activities, their eyes wander, they seldom smile and never greet people.
(2) The speech disorder is very prominent. This is also an important reason for parents to see a doctor. Most children rarely talk, and in severe cases, they remain silent for almost their whole lives. Even if some children can speak, they are often reluctant to speak, preferring to use gestures instead. Some people can talk, but their voices are very small or low, or they repeat monotonous words to themselves. Some children can only imitate what others have said and can't speak in their own language. Many children don't ask or answer questions, but just repeat other people's questions. Language communication is often manifested in the confusion and inversion of pronouns, and you and I are indistinguishable from each other. There are also many autistic children who often scream, sometimes until they are 5-6 years old or even longer.
(3) Narrow interests and repetitive behaviors. Autistic children tend to focus on certain activities for a long time, such as being fascinated by rotating the pot cover, placing building blocks monotonously, and being keen on watching TV advertisements and weather forecasts. I have no interest in cartoons, children's TV and movies that children usually like. Some children eat the same food every day, go out the same route, and defecate in the same toilet. If there is any change, they will cry loudly, refuse to change their original habits and behaviors, and find it difficult to adapt to the new environment. Most children also show aimless activities, such as jumping, clapping, waving, running and spinning monotonously, and some even hurt themselves, such as repeatedly picking their noses, mouths, biting their lips and heading.
(4) Most of them are backward and their intellectual development is unbalanced. About 75% of autistic children are mentally retarded, and a few children are normal or close to normal.
Normal. Some children with autism and mental retardation are surprisingly good at music, painting, calculation, literacy and mechanical memory, showing an island intelligence phenomenon, which is incredible. For example, 4-year-old Tao Tao especially likes reading and writing. Because of this, he can easily read children's story books, which shows that he has a large vocabulary, but when he wants to express himself in words, he has obvious difficulties, which shows that they have obstacles in understanding and using the language. Can children with autism be treated?
Autism is a common psychological development disorder in early childhood and a serious psychological disease. If it is not discovered and intervened early, the prognosis will be poor, which will greatly damage the socialization function of children and the disability rate will be high. In the process of its life development, it needs long-term care. However, as long as parents have firm beliefs, insist on treatment, and are full of love, patience, care and confidence for their children, children's autism can still be cured. Children can walk out of their lonely world and discover the world around them, and their social function and adaptive function will be improved to varying degrees. After treatment, many autistic children enter kindergartens, schools and society, find their place in society and have their own space for survival and development. This is also the best reward for parents to insist on treatment.
