abstract:
College counselors are the backbone of college students' ideological and political education and daily management. In the new era and environment, how to improve the effectiveness of student management has become a new topic for college counselors.
Keywords: college counselors; Effective management; Self-improvement; innovation management
First, the role orientation of college counselors.
In the face of the work of counselors integrating theory, knowledge and practice, the role of counselors should be integrated, being teachers and friends.
Teachers should fully respect students and change the original management mode of administrative orders and unconditional obedience. Counselors must have a high sense of responsibility, devote themselves wholeheartedly to students' work, exert a subtle influence on students through firm will, patiently guide and help to touch students' hearts, and management should be based on positive and strengthened incentives, guiding students to learn to be human, learn to seek knowledge, learn to do things, and strengthen their own life goals.
The improvement of students' comprehensive quality is inseparable from ideological dialogue and communication with counselors, so that students can feel their care. Because of the differences between different students, their growth environment and experience are different, and the communication with students should be targeted. We should use love to care for the growth of students and cultivate their self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-improvement.
Second, some suggestions on improving the management efficiency of young college counselors.
At present, college counselors are mostly young teachers, which is an advantage for student management. College counselors can think from the perspective of their peers, which makes it easier to eliminate cognitive barriers, keep the same perception of the times and the activity of thinking, and is conducive to communication with students. This is the management advantage of young college counselors. On the other hand, because young college counselors have certain plans for their career development, if the staged growth does not match or deviate from their own plans in work practice, it will inevitably dampen their enthusiasm and teaching enthusiasm, resulting in poor management effect; In addition, the knowledge structure of young college counselors needs to be improved. In practice, I think we should do the following:
1, from the school level, we should pay attention to the security and perfection of the system.
Student management is an all-round management of college students, with a wide range of contents, involving all departments of the school, so the school should ensure the realization of management effectiveness through relevant systems and mechanisms.
(1) Strict access system.
In view of the importance of college counselors in student management, the management ability and level of college counselors will directly affect the effectiveness of scientific management of college students, so the admission system of college counselors must be strict. Colleges and universities should make provisions on the political outlook, education, specialty, professional quality and professional ability of college counselors in light of the actual situation of the school.
(2) Optimize the assessment mechanism.
In practice, it is necessary to strengthen the assessment and further improve the management system of counselors.
According to the requirements of specialization and professionalization, colleges and universities should formulate the work norms of student counselors, strengthen the management of counselors' work within the scope of counselors' duties and according to their own characteristics, and form a perfect and scientific evaluation system for counselors. In the evaluation, the suggestion is a multi-agent and multi-way comprehensive evaluation. (3) Pay attention to career development. It is inevitable that college teachers regard college counselors as a profession. Every college counselor wants to realize his career ideal. For young counselors, their career development prospects, ability training prospects, job development prospects, professional titles and job promotion prospects, and salary increase prospects are all very important. Properly solving the career development demands of young college counselors can effectively improve their work efficiency.
2. From the aspect of self-improvement, young college counselors should improve their own quality.
(1) Pay attention to the improvement of professional level.
Counselors should regard counselors' work as a career and establish professional beliefs. Therefore, college counselors should pay attention to the improvement of their professional level. The professional quality of college counselors should include multidisciplinary knowledge, including basic knowledge such as psychology, education, sociology, management and law. This requires a variety of personal quality levels. We should take various forms to improve our skills, constantly enrich our knowledge, broaden our knowledge, optimize our knowledge structure, become professionals in education, management, service and counseling students, and improve management efficiency.
(2) Pay attention to strengthening personality cultivation.
As the benchmark of students' words and deeds, college counselors should pay attention to strengthening personality cultivation and shaping personal ability, temperament and character. Young college counselors often have their own unique personalities. However, as a college counselor, we need to understand the role of personal external factors such as appearance, posture and clothing in emotional communication between teachers and students. Only by dressing neatly, being calm and dignified can students have respect and identity.
3. From the perspective of management practice, we should pay attention to innovative management concepts and methods.
(1) Innovation of management concept.
College counselors should fully respect the concept of all-round quality education and people-oriented education, innovate management concepts, strengthen the democratic and scientific nature of student management, proceed from the actual needs of students, and use persuasion, participation, democratic discussion, typical demonstration and other methods to effectively solve the problems existing in college student management, so as to maximize the win-win situation of student growth and student management.
(2) Management innovation.
University is a process of students' self-management and self-growth. From the management mode, we should give full play to the role of students' self-management. We should pay attention to mobilizing students' enthusiasm for self-management, attaching importance to students' main role in self-management, improving students' enthusiasm for self-management, enhancing self-restraint, and making students truly become the main body of management, so as to grow and improve in self-management.
In the management of media, we should keep pace with students and be good at using modern media to realize seamless communication with students. It is important to have laws in education and indispensable in teaching. On emergencies and hot issues, college counselors should be good at guiding and resolving them, causing students to think and discuss, resolving contradictions in students' ideological understanding and improving the timeliness of ideological and political education.
In short, young college counselors should not only adhere to the management concept of keeping pace with the times, but also seize opportunities and dare to meet challenges. Under the benign development environment provided by colleges and universities, the effectiveness of student management in colleges and universities can be improved by improving their own abilities.
