Professor Yang Shilin has been mainly engaged in the research of effective components of medicinal plants and the development of new drugs for many years. Using modern science, technology and methods, more than 2,000 compounds were isolated and identified from more than 90 commonly used medicinal plants, of which nearly 600 were new compounds, and more than 400 academic papers were published in influential academic journals at home and abroad. Among them, SCI has collected more than 100 articles, published 6 academic monographs100, made more than 70 academic reports at international and domestic professional academic conference forums, and trained more than 80 postdoctoral, doctoral and master students. In recent five years, Professor Yang Shilin has presided over 16 national-level projects, including the National 973 Plan, the National Twelfth Five-Year Plan, the National Eleventh Five-Year Plan, and major national special projects on new drug creation. Received more than 76 million yuan of national vertical research funds and more than 80,000 yuan of horizontal research funds/kloc-0, and won national and provincial scientific and technological progress awards for many achievements.
