Let's briefly share with you how to train patients with stroke!
I. Scope of application
1. Patients who know and cooperate with the operation;
2. Have a stable sitting balance (level 2 or above);
3. Hemiplegia muscle strength reaches Grade III or above;
Second, matters needing attention
1. First, we should choose loose and simple clothes to make patients learn to dress more easily and quickly;
2. If necessary, the existing clothes can be slightly modified to help patients put them on and off;
For example, change the buttons into hooks, zippers or velcro;; Pants that need to be tied with belts are replaced with elastic casual pants.
According to scientific research-under normal circumstances, it takes an average of 2.5 ~ 3 minutes to train and master the essentials of dressing; When choosing cardigan, square button and loose sleeve clothes for training, the average time for patients to master them is only 1.25 minutes.
3. Choose a stool with good stability to increase stability.
Third, specific training methods.
(1) coat
1. Methods and steps to put on your coat:
1 sit down;
(2) Put the inner face of the clothes on the knees;
③ Grasp the collar and the opposite shoulder with healthy hands, pass the cuff through the affected upper limb, and pull the collar to the shoulder;
(4) The healthy hand bypasses the collar from beginning to end and puts the healthy upper limb into the cuff;
⑤ Fasten buttons, zippers or velcro;
⑥ Straighten all parts of the clothes.
2. The method and steps of undressing:
① First, the clothes on the affected side are removed from the shoulders to below the elbows;
② Take off the clothes on the healthy side from the shoulder;
③ Take off the clothes of the affected healthy upper limb and take off the sleeves completely.
3. Methods and steps of wearing pullovers or T-shirts:
① The patient arranges clothes on his knees so that the collar is at the far end and the neck is marked at the top; The sleeve of the affected arm is still hanging between the knees;
② Hemiplegic arm extends into sleeve, healthy hand pulls sleeve to shoulder, and then healthy arm penetrates into another sleeve;
③ Grasp the back of the pullover, put it on your head, and lean forward at the same time to keep the affected arm straight.
(2) pants
1. Long sitting posture-supine position, how to put on and take off pants:
① Sitting for a long time, first pass the affected leg through the affected lower limb with healthy hands and pull it above the knee; The healthy side lower limb penetrates into the other side trouser leg;
② Change to supine position, bend the healthy knee joint, lift the pelvis upward as far as possible, and at the same time, lift the pants up to the buttocks with the healthy hand, fasten the belt and tidy them up;
(3) finally button, pull the lock, fasten the belt, tidy up.
2. How to put on your pants while sitting:
① Sit in a chair with the affected lower limbs crossed on the healthy knees;
② Pass the trouser leg through the affected foot and pull it to the knee with healthy hands; Lower the affected lower limb, and the healthy lower limb passes through the other trouser leg;
③ Stand up and continue to pull your pants up to your hips and waist;
(4) buttons, hooks, zippers, etc. , finishing;
Take off your pants while sitting, and do the above actions in turn.
It may be a problem for a lady to wear a bra.
One way is to sew an elastic band on the back of the bra, fasten it, and then put on the bra like a pullover; Some patients can fasten the bra by turning the back to the front before putting their arms through the belt.
(3) socks
How to wear socks:
① The patient clasps his hands and lifts the affected lower limb across the healthy lower leg;
② The patient opens the sock mouth with thumb and forefinger, leans forward and puts socks on his feet;
③ Use the same procedure when wearing healthy lower limbs.
When wearing socks, it should be noted that the lower limbs should not cross the healthy hands, because this will cause the hemiplegic side to shrink strongly in spastic mode.
Before wearing socks, the patient should make the hemiplegic arm forward, shoulder forward and elbow forward.
(4) Wear shoes
Patients can wear shoes by wearing socks. Here is a way to tie your shoelaces.
① One end of the shoelace is tied with a knot on one side of the shoe;
② The shoelaces pass through the top hole twice and remain fixed;
③ Tie your shoelaces. (as shown in the figure below)
