Lu Xun (188 1- 1936), formerly known as Zhou Shuren, was born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. The founder of modern literature in China. His masterpieces include the novel Camel Xiangzi, Four Generations of a Family, and the short stories Crescent Moon and Broken Soul Gun. The ghost gun was released at 1935. Shen Congwen (1902- 1988), formerly known as Shen Yuehuan, was born in Fenghuang County, Hunan Province. His major works include Selected Novels from the Literary Works, novella Border Town, Long River, Prose Collection, Traveling to San Ji, etc. "Border Town" is based on the tea cave in a mountainous town in western Hunan, and describes the life of an old man who lives by ferry and his granddaughter Cui Cui, as well as the tortuous love story between Cui Cui and the captain's sons Tianbao and Nuoer. Liang Shiqiu (190 1- 1987), formerly known as Simon Leung, was born in Beijing and his ancestral home was in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. The main works are the collection of comments "Romance and Classicism" and the collection of essays "Essays of Yashe". Wang Meng (1934-) is a contemporary writer from Beijing. His first novel is Long Live Youth.
