One's own thesis can be written into a monograph, and it is common for doctoral thesis to be written into a monograph and published. However, there is little difference between the number of words in doctoral thesis and the minimum number of words required by monograph, which is relatively easy to realize.

Generally, the number of words in a paper is less than that in a monograph, that is, many of my own papers cannot be published directly as monographs, and the content should be expanded on the basis of the original papers. Generally speaking, the number of words in general papers is around several thousand words, while the number of words in monographs should be more than 40,000-50,000 words.

The format of the paper to be written should match the requirements of periodical format, monograph format to be written and book format to be published by the publishing house. Although they are all in format, there is still a difference between paper format and monograph format, that is, if you write your own paper as a monograph, you may have to change the format of some papers to monograph format, such as stylistic format.
