I. Reasons for investigation:
Diligence and thrift are the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation and the precious spiritual wealth of our nation. It is also an important part of patriotism education for primary and secondary school students. However, with the improvement of people's living standards, unhealthy practices prevail in society, and extravagance and waste are emerging one after another. The sentence "Who knows that every grain is hard" seems to have been completely forgotten. A living example is when we have lunch in the school cafeteria around us. We often see some students simply take a few bites of food and then throw it away. The uncles and aunts in the canteen watched us eat leftovers while cleaning up the dishes, shaking our heads helplessly and continuing to clean up. Every day at noon, I can see a car full of leftovers from school. It's really distressing that those glistening rice just fell down. Seeing this scene is thought-provoking. We decided to study the phenomenon of school lunch waste.
Second, research contents and methods:
1, through the investigation, understand the situation of students' lunch in our school.
2. Through the questionnaire survey, we can understand the reasons of students' meal dumping and their views on the phenomenon of meal dumping. Distribute pictures of hungry refugees struggling in Africa to arouse students' awareness and action of saving food.
3. Statistical analysis of various survey data.
4. Launch an initiative.
Third, the research steps:
Since September 15, we have made an investigation on the upside-down lunch situation of all grades in the school.
There are 45 students surveyed, including 7 boys, 3 girls, 22 boys and 0/3 girls.
(1), inverted rice statistics.
According to statistics, in our school, the situation of rice dumping is more serious in the high class, accounting for 60% of the people surveyed, among whom girls are the main ones. Only about 29% of the respondents don't eat.
(2), the reason statistics.
Among the people surveyed, 64% dumped their meals because they ate too much, but almost no one asked workers and masters to eat less before eating.
(3) Understanding of the behavior of inverted rice.
Among the surveyed students who pour rice, nearly 1% are indifferent to the behavior of pouring rice, and 9 1% are ashamed of pouring rice, and are determined not to pour rice in the future and eat as much as possible.
(4) Understanding of saving food.
Among the students surveyed, more than 84% know that most people in Africa are suffering from hunger or even death.
More than 93% students who pour rice are educated to save food and resources.
Shocking photos
When we showed the photos of African children to all the students who poured rice, all the students sighed deeply and immediately said that they must save food and all resources in the future.
Fourth, the reasons behind the analysis:
Looking at all kinds of waste phenomena, we interviewed some teachers and parents and listened carefully to their views, thus finding some reasons. We believe that:
(1) The people's material living standards have improved.
With the development of society, China's economy has made great progress, people's living standards have been improved, and living conditions have also been greatly improved. Those students who waste food said, "There is money at home, so it's no big deal to pour some leftovers." What saddens us investigators is that our students are indifferent to this waste. When we ask, "Are you ashamed when you fall?" Although 9 1% students will feel ashamed and pity when dumping leftovers, they will still take pictures correctly next time.
(2) Our students are not conscious of saving.
With the obvious improvement of living standards, it is normal for our students to have more and more colorful lifestyles. However, some students blindly pursue high consumption and enjoyment, leaving behind the virtues of hard work and frugality. Almost every student has received frugal education since childhood, but this kind of education can really influence their behavior. many
Parents don't pay enough attention.
It is understood that at present, many schools will raise awareness of saving and know how to be grateful as an important part of cultivating students' behavior habits. "Education belongs to education, but children just don't eat, and we can't help it." Now the students are all only children, and the living conditions are too good. They don't know how hard it is for farmers to grow grain, nor do they know how hard it is for their parents to make money. The concept of thrift is very weak. "For them, satisfaction comes first." Parents always worry that their children can't eat well and are afraid that their children will be hungry, so they can buy whatever they want. Only educate children to save from words, not urge them to save from actions.
Verb (abbreviation for verb) Our plan:
1. Thrift has always been the traditional virtue of our Chinese nation, which is a respect for labor and a social responsibility. In remote mountainous areas, there are still so many people who have not solved the problems of food and clothing and poverty, and so many children have lost the opportunity to receive education because of poverty. In distant Africa, countless people are dying of hunger. We appeal to all students to save every grain of rice, every drop of water, every penny … eat as much as you can, and there is no food left.
The second is to carry out the activities of "reducing waste, saving resources and striving for a conservation-oriented campus" on campus, and strengthen the education of diligence and thrift for all teachers and students.
Thirdly, it is suggested that each class publish a blackboard newspaper with the theme of "save, start with me" for publicity and education, and each class also carries out various theme class meetings and speech competitions.
Fourth, it is suggested that the canteen should ensure the quality of the food, try to cook the dishes that students like to eat, and bring forth the new.
We also suggest that the school make some relevant systems to ensure that everyone can save money every moment in daily life.
Six, the school can also hold some competitions, for example, let students play their own intelligence and try their best to turn waste into treasure (waste paper, discarded plastic bottles, etc.). Turning waste into treasure not only promotes students' awareness of environmental protection, but also cultivates students' good habits of thrift, good ideology and morality and improves their enthusiasm. Schools can also use holidays to organize students to carry out various forms of practical activities, so that students can experience the hard work and cultivate the quality of diligence and thrift.
Finally, we should put forward some requirements and suggestions to every parent: family is the first school for children. Parents themselves should maintain the virtue of thrift and the spirit of hard struggle, and pay attention to the subtle influence of their words and deeds on their children. Parents should educate their children to cherish the fruits of labor, cherish food, not be picky about food and save water. Cultivate children's frugality with practical actions.
Reducing waste, saving resources and building an economical campus are related to each of our teachers and students. Let's start with cherishing food! Let frugality spread to every corner of the campus!
Investigation experience:
Through this comprehensive practical activity, we understand all kinds of waste phenomena that usually happen to students, and deeply understand the necessity and importance of traditional virtue education of the Chinese nation to us from the activity.
Although the topic we chose is relatively common, and there are still many imperfections due to our limited ability, after all, this is our own work and the result of our cooperation, and every member of us feels very happy. We all feel that this comprehensive practical activity is very meaningful. It gives us pleasure in studying and exploring the phenomena around us, improves our ability to find and solve problems, cultivates our ability to collect, analyze and use information, and learns to cooperate and unite. We all like this kind of activity very much. I hope we will have more opportunities to participate in it in the future.
Also, there must be a form and a cover.
