1. First, open the Word document, select the reference with the mouse, and then click the numbering tool under the Start tab.

2. Secondly, click to define a new numbering format, enter the serial number in parentheses in English, click OK, then place the mouse cursor at the first reference point and click Cross Reference under the Reference tab.

3. Then select the corresponding first reference, click Insert, and insert other references in the same way. Select the inserted reference symbol with the mouse, and then click the superscript symbol under the Start tab.

4. Finally, insert a new citation, select the text, and right-click the update field.
