Zhu is from the Southern Song Dynasty.

First of all, the profile of the character

Zhu (1 130—1200), whose characters are dark and numbered Huian and Ziyang, is called Mr. Huian and Zhu Wengong. Originally from Wuyuan County, Huizhou Prefecture (now Wuyuan, Jiangxi Province), he was born in Youxi, Nanjian Prefecture (now Youxi County, Fujian Province). Neo-Confucianism, philosopher, educator and poet in Southern Song Dynasty.

In the second year of Qingyuan (1 196), Shen Jizu, the imperial adviser, impeached Zhu for deceiving others with false learning, attacked him as the "leader of false learning" and listed six major charges. Zhu was dismissed for committing the crime of false learning, and later went to Jianyang to give lectures and write. In the sixth year of Qingyuan (1200), Zhu died at home and posthumous title was a writer.

Second, the achievements of the characters

Zhu is the only one of the twelve philosophers in Dacheng Hall who worships Confucius Temple without being personally handed down by Confucius. He is a student of Dong Li, a disciple of Cheng Cheng San Chuan. Zhu's philosophical system is based on the theory of "two processes", which absorbs Zhou Dunyi's Taiji theory, Zhang Zai's Qi-based theory and Buddhism and Taoism. Together with the theory of "two processes", it is called "Zhu Cheng Neo-Confucianism".

His thoughts had a great influence on the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties and became the official philosophy of the three generations. There are many works, including Notes to Four Books, Chapters and Sentences, Illustrations of Taiji, etc. Among them, "four chapters and sentences" became the standard of textbooks and imperial examinations. Zhu also wrote more than 1250 poems, and his achievements cannot be ignored.

There are 25 kinds of Zhu Xian's works, more than 600 volumes, with a total word count of about 20 million words. There are Zhouyi's Original Meaning, Enlightenment, Textual Research on Eight Diagrams, Biography of Poetry, The Doctrine of the Mean in Universities, Four Books or Topics, Notes on Analects of Confucius, Notes on Mencius, Illustration of Taiji, Interpretation of Tong Shu, Interpretation of Mingxi, Annotation of Chuci and Differences in Korean.

Introduction to the Doctrine of the Mean, Mistakes in Filial Piety, Primary School Book, Outline of a General Mirror, Records of Words and Actions of Famous Officials in Song Dynasty, Family Rites, Records of Recent Thoughts, Notes of Cheng Family in Henan Province, Records of Luo Yi's Origin, etc. There is an anthology with volume 100, a sequel with volume1,an anthology with volume 10, and a Zhuzi school with volume 140 by his disciples.

2. The venue of the speech

Xianyou Fengting Wenchang Pavilion, formerly known as Huixin Academy, was founded in Sui Dynasty and was originally in Antang. Zhu Zeng, a famous Neo-Confucianism scholar in the Song Dynasty, gave lectures here and wrote the book Jingyitang as a plaque. In the fourth year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1525), it was renamed "Huixin Academy", which was abandoned after several revivals. 1996, Wenchang Pavilion was rebuilt on the original site.
