The National Mathematical Modeling Competition for College Students started at 1992 and is held once a year. It is the largest mathematical modeling competition in China and the largest in the world.

In 2020, * * there were 45,680 teams from 1 470 colleges/campuses in China, the United States, Britain and Malaysia (4 1 826 teams for undergraduates and 3,854 teams for specialists), and more than 1.3 million people signed up for the competition.

Competition purpose

The purpose of the national mathematical modeling competition for college students is "innovative consciousness and team spirit focus on participating in fair competition".

The contest questions and excellent papers were presented in the "National Mathematical Modeling Competition for College Students" in official website. Take 20 17 as an example. There are four test questions, namely: Question A -CT Calibration and imaging of CT system parameters; Question b-the task pricing of "taking photos to make money"; C- color and substance concentration identification; Question d- arrangement of inspection line.
