[Edit this paragraph] 3. Vice President of Chengdu New Thinking School

Ceng Gang, English name: Frankie. Born in 198 1. Vice President of Chengdu New Thinking School; Head of English teaching and research group of Chengdu New Thinking School; Top Ten Excellent Teachers in Sichuan Province. Chengdu gold medal training teacher.

Media registration helps students improve their grades in the simplest way.

At 2: 30 pm on August 12, 28-year-old Zeng Gang was giving an English class to the students in the "junior high school" English connecting class in Yiguanmiao Campus of Chengdu New Thinking School. He didn't explain it according to the English textbook of senior one.

Words and grammar, but teach the connection between two English sentences. "Learned, college entrance examination English 10; If you can't learn, this 10 score will be gone. " Ceng Gang, wearing a small microphone, said to the audience of sixty or seventy students with great certainty. Don't touch the textbook, don't talk about the text, and explain the methods and skills of doing the problem directly from NMET English 18 test center. This is the teaching feature of "Test English" in Chengdu New Thinking School. Students can find the corresponding test sites and problem-solving rules for each question and get the correct answer. As the vice-principal of the school and the head of the English teaching and research group, Ceng Gang prepared more than 800 pages of desk materials to summarize the 18 test center. From 198 1 to 2009, he "chewed" the contents and methods of each question in the national and provincial college entrance examination English.

A difficult journey

Ceng Gang graduated from the English Department of Southwest University of Science and Technology, once taught in Mianyang Normal University, and later joined a famous graduate training school in Chengdu. Here, he met Professor Ren Rufen, a famous national postgraduate counseling expert. Every time Ren Rufen comes to Chengdu, the political remedial classes he teaches are full. In order to know the tricks of Ren Rufen's teaching, Ceng Gang also took several classes. He found that a major feature of teaching in Ren Rufen is to teach students directly from the entrance examination center.

Ren Rufen's teaching methods greatly inspired Ceng Gang. Since politics can be taught from test sites, why not English? Ceng Gang decided to help middle school students find a "shortcut" to the English entrance examination. Ceng Gang, who has never attended a middle school English class, found the English syllabus for the college entrance examination in Sichuan Province, the English syllabus for the senior high school entrance examination in Chengdu and the examination questions over the years, and began to study their laws. I just found out that this is a huge project: where is the focus of each question, what "traps" are easy to appear, and how do students find the problem-solving skills accurately ... It is really difficult to list these contents one by one and finally simplify them. Although it was difficult, Ceng Gang persisted in doing it because he believed that he was on the right path. Over the past six months, Ceng Gang has been studying English teaching in middle schools whenever he has time. After taking more than 800 pages of notes, he finally summed up the English test sites and problem-solving methods of Chinese and college entrance examination.

Brilliant achievements

In the summer of 2006, Ceng Gang came to Chengdu New Thinking School with his exam-oriented English. Due to the lack of good academic background and teaching experience in middle schools, at first, few students were willing to choose him as the class of Ceng Gang students. Facing the sparse students in the classroom, Ceng Gang blurted out "brave words": "No matter whether your previous English scores are good or bad, you should" return to zero "in this class. I guarantee that you will soon change from' zero' to'100'. " Ceng Gang's promise has not failed. Every class, he first tells the students the name of the test center, whether the test is in the form of single choice, correction or other questions, what the score is, what the detailed rules may involve, and then tells the students how to solve the problem. After several classes, students find it much easier to do English test questions. At the end of the summer vacation, Ceng Gang took five or six classes at the same time, and each class had dozens of students. Some students even sit in the aisle and listen to his class. At the end of the summer vacation, Ceng Gang became the head of the English teaching and research group of New Thinking School.

Teachers born after 1980s are not afraid of authority.

Three years later, Ceng Gang became a famous teacher in New Thinking School, and many of his students got high marks. In this year's senior high school entrance examination, Ceng Gang's English score 147 was promoted to the science experimental class of Chengdu No.7 Middle School. When I first entered junior high school, Xiaoshi only got 27 points in English! After getting the results of the senior high school entrance examination, Xiaoshi wrote a letter to Ceng Gang, which said: "No matter what happens in the future, there must be a space in my heart that belongs to Ceng Laoshi."

Ceng Gang sometimes finds fault with English teaching in middle schools. In his view, the most difficult thing for students is not that they can't complete the learning task, but that they can't find out what the task is. Nowadays, some teachers like to make their students back fixed. After three years, with so many fixed combinations, it's strange that students don't recite "a mess"! "Teachers just want to help students improve their academic performance in the simplest way." At the end of this year, Ceng Gang and his colleagues intend to summarize the new thinking of "English at test sites" into a book for publication, so that more students can benefit from it.
