First, the basis, significance and future development direction of the topic selection.
1, the purpose and significance of the topic:
With the development of science and technology, injection mold has become an indispensable technological equipment for modernization. Injection mold technology is one of the most important teaching links and a highly practical subject. It is a comprehensive application of what we have learned. Through the comprehensive application of professional knowledge, students can have a basic understanding of the process of mold design and manufacturing, and lay a solid foundation for future work and further study. As a systematic engineering training during our school days, graduation design can be cultivated from the following aspects:
(1). Investigate the Chinese and foreign literature retrieval and reading ability;
(2) The ability to comprehensively apply professional theories and knowledge to analyze and solve practical problems;
(3). Master the mold design methods and steps, and understand the processing technology of injection mold;
(4) The ability of writing and oral expression combining logical thinking with image thinking;
(5) the ability to write design instructions (papers);
(6) Develop a serious, rigorous and meticulous technical work style.
2. The development direction of plastic mould technology:
(1). Improve the design and manufacturing level and proportion of large, precise, complex and long-life molds.
(2) The CAD/CAM/CAE technology is widely applied in the design and manufacture of plastic molds.
(3) Popularize and apply hot runner technology, gas-assisted injection molding technology and high-pressure injection molding technology.
(4) Develop new plastic molding technology and quick and economical molds. In order to adapt to the production mode of multi-variety and small batch.
(5) Improve the standardization level of plastic molds and the utilization rate of standard parts.
(6) High-quality mold materials and advanced surface treatment technology should be applied to improve the life and quality of molds.
(7) Research and apply high-speed measurement technology and reverse engineering of molds.

1, research content: injection mold design.
2. Expected objectives:
Design a pair of plastic mold, under the premise of meeting the performance requirements, make the mold structure as simple as possible, ensure the product quality, make the mold life longer and the mold cost lower.
3. Key theories and technologies:
1) injection molding process: including program control of injection speed, injection pressure, filling time and holding time.
2) Mold design: including the design of molding parts, gating system, ejection mechanism, guiding mechanism, cooling system and auxiliary parts.
4. Technical indicators:
The volume of the product, the size of the molded part, the draft angle, the injection temperature, the injection speed, the injection pressure and so on.
5, complete the project plan and main measures:
1) The raw material of the product is ABS, and injection mold is adopted, and forced demoulding can be adopted if necessary.
2) Be familiar with the process of injection mold design, master the basic principles and design methods of injection mold design, and use mold design software to design plastic parts.
3) Complete the design of each part of the plastic mold for the seasoning box.
4) After the design is completed, check the design parameters to ensure the use requirements.
5) After the whole die design is completed, it is necessary to try the die and make corresponding modifications.
Three, the problems and reasons in the trial.
Problems and causes in mold trial;
1, not satisfied
Cause: (1) insufficient equipment injection; The hopper is short of material.
(2) The gate of the mold is too small and the resistance is too great; The process is too long; Poor exhaust
(3) The viscosity of raw materials is too high and the fluidity is poor; Less lubricant
2. Flash, flash
Cause: (1) insufficient clamping force of equipment; Overinjection
(2) the deformation of the parting surface; Exhaust slot is too large; The mold temperature is too high.
(3) In terms of process parameters, the injection pressure is too high; The barrel temperature is too high.
3. There are black spots on plastic parts
Reason: (1) raw materials are not clean (raw materials may be recycled);
(2) The bucket is not cleaned;
(3) The temperature of the barrel is too high, which leads to the decomposition of raw materials;
(4) Poor exhaust leads to scorching of plastic parts.
