Different universities allow students to apply for CET-4 at different times. In some schools, students can only take CET-4 when they are freshmen, and in some schools, students can only take CET-4 when they are sophomores.

The main target of the examination is college students, undergraduates or graduate students who have completed CET-4 according to the educational syllabus. The purpose of CET-4 is to promote the implementation of college English syllabus and objectively and accurately measure college students' English ability. In order to improve the teaching quality of college English courses in China, the Ministry of Education entrusts "all-round; The CET-4 and CET-6 Examination Committee (1993 named "CET-4 and CET-6 Standardized Examination Design Group") is responsible for designing, organizing, managing and implementing CET-4 and CET-6.
Requirements for applying for CET-4:
1, the examination object is limited to undergraduate students or graduate students who have completed CET-4 according to the education syllabus for four years or more in ordinary colleges and universities;
2. College students or graduate students with the same level can sign up for the exam in our school with the consent of their school;
3. Students of the same level of night university or correspondence university can sign up for the exam in our school with the consent of the school;
From June 5438+ 10, 2007, CET-4 and CET-6 will no longer be open to social candidates, but only to college students.
