Kafka's novels are absurd and full of realistic oppression and tension, which not only makes scholars sad, but also makes ordinary people collapse like nightmares. Auden, a British poet, said that Kafka is the closest person to the times, just like Dante, Shakespeare and Goethe. This is not empty talk, because almost all novel schools in the 20th century recognized Kafka as the pioneer of this school, which combined the existential expressionist absurd school, and Kafkaesque became synonymous with Kafka's aesthetics. If it is really difficult to understand, then it is simply the absurd situation and the true unity of emotions. Let me give you a very simple example. Kafka's masterpiece Metamorphosis tells the story of Gregory, a bank clerk, who wakes up in the morning and finds himself a bug. It seems absurd, but there are no fears, screams, evil old demons, shocking secrets, self-redemption and superheroes in the novel. On the contrary, the novel shows Gregory trying to cover up the fact that he has become a bug. He wants to get up and go to work, and his heart is full of anxiety that he may be fired. It can be seen that Kafka's absurd elements are based on realism, which is not only reality, but also the significance of Kafka's novels can be called awakening the world. Kafka style (Kafka nightmare) only breaks the logical structure, while Kafka style emphasizes absolute truth.
Is this external weakness and internal emotional intensity like a nightmare?
