The course of management information system plays an important role in the cultivation of undergraduate talents in business administration. In view of the problems existing in the course teaching, this paper re-examines the changing factors of the internal and external environment of the course development of management information system, and explores the course teaching reform ideas that meet the actual needs of business administration majors. This paper probes into the teaching objectives, teaching contents, teaching methods, teaching case setting and practical ability training of Management Information System for business administration majors, so as to provide reference for the teaching of this course for business administration majors.

The rapid development of modern information technology has greatly changed the production, operation and management mode of enterprises. Therefore, enterprises have built their own management information systems and made full use of information technology to collect, process and utilize information, so as to improve enterprise management efficiency, reduce operating costs, promote management informatization and meet the challenges of the market environment under the influence of information technology. Facing the big environment of management informationization, management information system, as a comprehensive course of computer science, management science, system engineering and other knowledge, has been established as a professional core course of business administration in many colleges and universities since 1998 was identified as a basic course of business administration undergraduate by the Ministry of Education, and has become the main course of cultivating new compound management talents.
However, for a long time, in the practical teaching of management information system, due to various reasons, there have been some problems, such as unclear teaching objectives, not prominent teaching focus, and not obvious teaching effect, which lead to the practical role of this course in talent training is not in line with its status. Therefore, it is of great significance to re-examine the internal and external environmental factors of the development of management information system courses and explore the teaching reform ideas that meet the actual needs of business administration majors.
1 internal and external environment change factors of curriculum reform
1. 1 The application of management information system in enterprises has increased the demand for information application talents, mainly including information management talents (such as enterprise CIOs) and information technology application talents (ordinary employees with information literacy). First of all, with the advancement of management informatization, more and more enterprises develop and implement management information systems. According to statistics, the proportion of large and medium-sized enterprises in China using management software is as high as 95%. During the development and implementation of management information system, many MIS implementations fail because of the unreasonable knowledge structure of developers: on the one hand, the computer professionals in charge of system development lack management knowledge, and the developed software system cannot meet the actual management needs; On the other hand, the enterprise managers who participate in the system development and implementation of information system lack the knowledge of managing information system, so they can't make good suggestions on the development scheme in the system development and implementation. Therefore, in order to smoothly promote the construction of enterprise management information system, enterprises urgently need information management talents with knowledge of management information system to participate in the development, maintenance and improvement of management information system, cooperate with computer professionals, provide more reasonable development requirements suitable for the actual production management system of enterprises, make up for the lack of knowledge structure of computer developers, and promote the smooth development and effective implementation of management information system. In addition, due to the wide application of information systems, employees need to be able to master the necessary computer tools, quickly adapt to and skillfully use management information systems, and be familiar with the new enterprise production management mode under information technology. These are the requirements for the information quality of practitioners, and also increase the demand for training information technology application talents.
1.2 The change of personnel training focus has promoted the adjustment of course objectives and content setting direction. Under the background of popularization of education, university education has changed from "elite" to "popular", and the focus of talent training has also changed from "academic" to "applied"

Under this educational goal, the talent training goal of business administration major has also changed accordingly: in order to meet the requirements of enterprises for the use of talents, business administration graduates should have independent working ability, expressive ability, practical operation ability and organizational management ability; In order to adapt to the rapid knowledge update in the information society, graduates should also master solid basic theoretical knowledge and extensive professional knowledge, and have the ability to update knowledge on the basis of their own knowledge structure. According to the training goal of applied talents in business administration, management information system should embody two main ideas in the setting of course objectives and course contents: First, the course setting should reflect practicality. The course serves to cultivate students' practical skills, so we should avoid being too theoretical, too difficult and difficult to practice in the course content arrangement, and try our best to be easy to understand, master, operate and beneficial. Second, the choice of course content should be broad but not extensive, reflecting practicality. The content of the course should focus on the training objectives of students. Considering that graduates are mainly engaged in management work rather than technical work after taking up their jobs, it is necessary to build a broad knowledge structure in content selection and determine the corresponding teaching content and teaching focus according to the characteristics and requirements of business administration students.
1.3 The booming management software market has given birth to new teaching requirements. It is estimated that the market size of management software in China will reach 34 billion yuan in 2009. Domestic management software brands represented by UFIDA, Kingdee and Inspur have made breakthroughs in technology, market and service, and commercial software such as ERP, OA and CRM at home and abroad have also matured. With the vigorous development of management software market, more and more enterprises choose to buy software products directly in the process of informatization. However, in the process of software selection, due to the numerous brands of management software, the development of product classification is obvious, high-end products pay attention to platform and integration, and low-end products pay attention to standardization and suite, which brings certain difficulties to enterprise software selection decision makers without professional background. Moreover, for different types of enterprises and users of different sizes, the requirements and concerns for software are also very different. High-end users pay attention to key applications such as capital management and business intelligence when selecting models, while small and medium-sized enterprises pay more attention to product adaptability when selecting models. As an important way of information construction in enterprises and institutions, the importance of selection and implementation of business software has become increasingly prominent, which has also given birth to new teaching content requirements in the training of business management talents.
2 Management Information System course teaching reform content
2. 1 Determine the teaching objectives and plan the teaching contents according to the social needs. For undergraduates majoring in business administration, the teaching goal of management information system is to train students to master basic information technology means and have certain ability to operate and use the system; Cultivate students' strong information consciousness and the ability to put forward, analyze and solve practical management problems from the perspective of information management; Cultivate students' ability of organization, management and innovation in the information environment, and have the ability to plan information technology from a strategic perspective; Cultivate students' awareness of participating in information construction and have the ability to participate in and organize the construction and implementation of information systems from the perspective of managers and users.
According to the actual situation of students majoring in business administration, the teaching content mainly focuses on the following aspects: ① Understanding the influence of information technology on enterprise management, and understanding the basic concepts and technical basis of management information system; Understand the specific application of information technology in enterprises, and master the basic operation of common management software such as ERP, SCM and CRM; ③ Understand the development methods and processes of management information system, and master the basic skills requirements for managers in the process of system development; Understand the process of information transmission and processing, and master how to solve practical problems in management with simple software technology and management model; ⑤ Understand the management methods of information system implementation and operation, and master the basic knowledge of enterprise system selection.
2.2 According to the course content, construct teaching cases and improve teaching methods. Because the course contains more contents and concentrated knowledge points, case teaching is used in the course teaching to construct various real problem situations and deepen students' understanding and mastery of knowledge points. In order to cooperate with the teaching of each part, different types of cases can be selected to ensure the teaching effect, and the selection of cases should pay attention to the connection with the existing knowledge structure of students. The following four types of cases are selected for teaching different knowledge (see table 1).
In addition, according to the different teaching contents and the differences between theoretical courses and experimental courses, we should choose different teaching methods, such as principle teaching method and discussion method, and adopt various experimental methods such as demonstration experiment, verification experiment and simulation experiment in experimental teaching to complete the teaching contents and achieve the teaching objectives.
2.3 according to the teaching object, choose teaching tools to cultivate practical ability. Practice teaching plays a key role in consolidating teaching content, understanding key points and difficulties, and cultivating operational ability. However, due to the relatively weak knowledge structure, information technology knowledge and practical ability of business administration students, there are some difficulties in the course experiment and practice with computer technology as the main means. Moreover, because MIS course has the characteristics of difficult content and strong comprehensiveness, students are prone to fear of difficulties in the learning process. Therefore, in order to improve the effect of practical teaching and reduce the learning obstacles brought to students by weak computer technology, the basic principle of "emphasizing methods over means" should be followed in teaching, and teaching tools should be selected reasonably. Use a relatively simple development platform or software to complete the actual operation, such as Access, Excel and other software that students can easily master, or use other non-code generation software. Students only need to design the process, and the software will automatically generate codes, so that students can not only have practical ability, but also focus on key contents such as process design, increase students' practical opportunities and improve their practical ability.
3 Conclusion
Management information system integrates economics, management, information science, system science, behavior science, computer science and network communication technology. It is a theoretical, practical and comprehensive course. In actual teaching, there are many problems, such as not prominent teaching focus and unclear teaching objectives, which can not achieve the ideal teaching effect. Only by analyzing the internal and external environment of curriculum development and setting up teaching objects can the curriculum finally play its due role in cultivating compound information management talents who master modern information technology.
