What's the difference between these two algorithms?
1, the average arithmetic score is the average of all subjects, and each science score has no influence on this result. In other words, if your score of 2 credits in physical education elective course is full mark, it is exactly the same as your score of 6 credits in math major course.
This algorithm is suitable for those small partners who have made outstanding achievements in courses or elective courses and have few credits, but have high grades or average grades in professional courses.
2. The weighted average score is different. It is the weighted average score calculated by multiplying the scores of various subjects by the corresponding credit ratio.
This algorithm is most suitable for students with high grades in courses with high credits and low grades in courses with low credits.
Generally speaking, everyone's arithmetic average score and weighted average score are different, and some people's scores of these two algorithms will be much worse, or one is higher than 80 and the other is lower than 80 (as we all know, 80 is a dividing line, and the minimum requirement for average score in many conditionaloffer is 80).
In this case, British universities have two solutions:
First, official website in many British universities has an official "average score certificate".
You can download it from official website University, and then calculate your average score, and check it with the academic affairs office of your own school or the academic affairs office teacher in your college, which is fair and signed and sealed.

So if the school can't help you fill out this "average score" certificate, that's understandable.
Secondly, if the applicant really can't provide the "average score certificate" signed and sealed by the official university, then the British university will have to work out the average score of the applicant according to the official transcripts provided by the students in its own way.
However, different schools have different algorithms. More importantly, some schools don't count all subjects, some only count professional course scores, and some choose some subjects that they think are useful. So the average scores calculated by different universities in Britain are very different from those calculated by yourself.

First of all, British schools pay more attention to the results of professional courses.
