On Tao Yuanming's Spiritual World from the Perspective of "Returning to the Countryside"

Viewing Tao Yuanming's Spiritual World from "Returning to the Garden"

When I was in junior high school, Mr. Jing Jie's model came into my heart. I loved the quiet atmosphere in his poems and wanted to admire the freedom of rural life. For a person who grew up in a city without any relatives living in the countryside, the world in poetry is no different from the Peach Blossom Garden in my mind. This peach blossom garden has been with me for thirty years. Over the years, I can understand Mr. Jing Jie's mood more and more. Abandoning one's official position to retire to seclusion and "clumsy" farming is a choice that requires considerable courage and a great awakening.

I like to see trees, especially in Kenting National Park. Even the same species has its own life attitude, and all kinds of attitudes tell the same truth: the environment has tempered creatures and created a unique style. If Mr. Jingjie didn't grow up in a turbulent era, how could he achieve his character? I love his poems and prose, not because of his lofty position in the literary evaluation of later generations, nor because it is left out in the cold and pitiful. Intuition is just Ren Zhen's complacent personality, which is reflected in his literary works. In the field of literature, I love Tao Yuanming's poems and Su Dongpo's ci. Have you ever thought, if the two exchange times, Tao Yuanming or Tao Yuanming, Su Dongpo or Su Dongpo? In other words, the two moved to other places and their roles were reversed. How much influence did Su Can's open-mindedness have on the fatuous Eastern Jin Dynasty? Can Tao develop his ambition in the Northern Song Dynasty, when the party struggles constantly? Environment is really a silent trainer!

Like ordinary people, Tao Yuanming has many contradictions and conflicts in the face of life, but after some tempering, he can finally reach the realm of harmony. The influence in his poems must be brought by some bitterness and pain. His poems not only describe the joy of the countryside, but also mainly reflect his love for freedom and noble and refined personality. He is not a hermit who simply escapes from the world, but a place that pursues peace of mind and suits his personality. Song Shu, Jin Shu and Heather all classified him as a "recluse poet". He willingly endured the pressure of material embarrassment and pursued a true and simple spiritual life. The hermits who pursued the "south shortcut" in the Tang Dynasty could not match and compare with it. His characteristic is that he is close to human feelings everywhere, but he is not high-profile. He still maintains the common style of ordinary people and makes people feel more cordial. Official career and seclusion run through Mr. Jing Jie's life. What he got in his official career was contradictory pain, and what he got in seclusion was harmonious joy. From contradiction to harmony, from pain to joy, he was already wandering in this world before he was forty years old. In fact, in his pure inner world, he doesn't understand what he wants. His heart has always longed for mountains and gardens, hoping to live in seclusion. However, for the sake of his children, he wants to live in seclusion. "I still hope for a while" is not only Ren Peng's mood of issuing orders, but also a portrayal of B's life many years ago. I hope I can get more benefits, even if he doesn't know what it is.

The death of his sister made him realize the impermanence of life. "How far is it?" ? What doubts do you have about your thoughts? "This has changed from a spiritual understanding to a personal feeling. Twenty-two years after this enlightenment, "I can't go back", I am content to keep the road and help him digest all the pressures from many aspects, such as the glory of his family, the eyes of the world, the complaints of his wife and children, and the Confucian education he received, and finally reach the realm of making waves, contentment and selflessness that Ren Zhen said.

Forty is an important key. When people reach middle age, the confusion and persistence in the past will eventually be purified and simplified with various tests in life. After seeing through some things and understanding some truth, they can finally make up their minds to choose to stay. If Cheng's sister had died five or ten years earlier, Tao Yuanming might not have been so awakened. Confucius said: "forty without confusion" is an experience after enlightenment. The five poems "Returning to the Garden" are a clear description of Tao Yuanming's new life, and a true portrayal of his resignation and retirement. He attached importance to food and clothing and the management of food and clothing, and refused to become a social consumer like an ordinary hermit. He said, "We should behave ourselves in the end and not bully us." So he picked up a hoe and decided to be a poor farmer at the foot of Lushan Mountain. The first song, Return to the Garden, describes his joy of returning to nature and his true feelings of recovery. It seems that he has made a great determination to hold Akiyama tightly from now on and never let himself get lost in the dust net. Indeed, it is a painful thing to go against nature. The sky is wide for birds to fly, and the deep for fish to swim. There is always a comfortable and comfortable world calling from time to time "it is better to go home", but once caught in the dust net, how can you easily get out? Tao Yuanming has struggled for 30 years, which is probably a lifetime of suffering. The more prosperous and progressive the times, the denser the dust net is woven, and the harder it is to get rid of it. At this point, I can finally understand why Tao Yuanming lingers.

The undecided pain between formal and retirement. Affection, glory and knowledge have all become tied together, tied with the clearest sincerity. Nothing is more bitter than this.

Everyone should have a world where his temperament is compatible. It's a pity that he lives in the outside world and always looks clumsy and distressed because he doesn't adapt. After Peng Ze returned, Tao Yuanming accepted nature and returned to the countryside. At the intersection of elm and willow, in the countryside where chickens crow and dogs bark, he wants to live a clean house with empty rooms and free time. He can tell himself that "he got what he wanted, and it will last for a thousand years" (drinking four), which is an enviable happiness! I hope I can have a chance to enter my own world.

GuiYuan is Tian Ju's second song, which describes that he abandoned the secular world and enjoyed the peace of the countryside. "There are few people in the wild, few people in the poor lanes, hidden scenery in the daytime, and empty houses thinking about dust." In country songs, there are many simple and kind people with innocent feelings. This new life is plain and tasteful, simple and enjoyable. Only at this point can people really enjoy peace. Frequent human contacts can certainly make life lively, but you must pay freedom and time, so silence is bought with loneliness. A scholar, who has no friends to learn and no hobbies to ask questions, is lonely. There is no intimate friend to pour out the poverty of retirement and the fatigue of farming. The persistence of "clothes are not cherished enough, but we can do whatever we want" is a kind of loneliness that no one can solve and can only tell ourselves.

Although Tao Yuanming's pastoral life in the last 22 years was a material failure, the problems brought by poverty could not shake his original intention, and this determination was his persistence after enlightenment. After much thinking and struggle, Tao Yuanming only pursues a simple life, and he is willing to live such a life. Life can only be "leisurely" because of simplicity, and we can enjoy the natural beauty of "dancing trees, birds singing and flowers smelling". It's a pity that vulgar people always do things like "people are not satisfied with a hundred, and they are always worried about their chitose". Even the beautiful scenery that is hard to see through the ages, unheard-of music is around, and I am afraid they will turn a blind eye and turn a deaf ear.

I have read Deng Zhihao's book Living in the Mountains. He really jumped out of the bustling Taipei metropolis life, found a place to stay in Lin Pingshan, built his own house, picked up abandoned furniture and modified it himself, becoming a modern Tao Yuanming. KoarnHack Tarn also expressed his return to rural life in the book Autumn in Pastoral Areas. He is a real Tao Yuanming. I can do what I want, and nothing is more pleasant than this feeling. I am glad to see such a clear-headed person in today's era, which makes people admire. Running around in the world of mortals, thinking about the beautiful scenery of autumn mountains, this contradiction should be the knot of most literati. Since I can't find the way back to Qiushan like Tao Yuanming, I have to learn from Dongpo, become open-minded, purify my thoughts and simplify my life. You can also find a quiet space on a busy day.
