How to collect papers and documents?
After choosing the topic, we began to search the literature. There are two main purposes of searching and consulting literature: one is to know what others have done in this field; The second is to find the basis of concept and theory, and the reference of method and design for the upcoming research. How to find the literature you need quickly after choosing the topic clearly? As we all know, after a paper is published in a journal, it will generally be included in the full text by one or several companies, such as China Knowledge Network, Wanfang Database, VIP Information Network and Long Yuan Journal Network. How to find the documents we need? I think many students still don't know. Today, I will teach you how to use the database to find the files we need. Let's take HowNet as an example to illustrate the method of document retrieval.

Taking the topic "Analysis of target cost management and financial risk control of construction projects" as an example, several key words can be found from this topic: project (a), target cost management (b) and financial risk control (c).

Search method:

(1) Search keywords directly: Let's take the keyword "financial risk control" as an example. We enter the keyword "financial risk control" in the search box on the homepage of HowNet. After direct search, at most 1 1746 1 corresponding documents can be obtained. There are too many documents found in this way, and we can see that many documents have nothing to do with the project. It will take a lot of time if we find them one by one. So how do we choose documents? Later, we will also provide several search methods to retrieve highly relevant documents.

Of course, this keyword is relatively common and naturally has to be studied many times. If it is an uncommon keyword, there is little research on it. You can use a single keyword search or search some research literature on synonyms.

(2) keyword combination search: multiple keywords can be selected for repeated conversion to ensure the richness and integrity of the literature.

For example, the keywords a+b, a+c, b+c and even a+b+c are combined to search, so that the documents found will be more relevant.

For example, enter "financial risk control of engineering projects" in the search box on the homepage of HowNet and click Search, and you can search for 15 12 1 documents. The literature we retrieved this time is obviously much less, but it is still too much, and the relevance of many documents is not high. Next, I teach universities to use advanced retrieval function to screen documents.

(3) Use advanced retrieval to find documents. Open the advanced search function of HowNet, first select the subject field, then filter your own search words, and it is best to write all the synonyms of the subject you want to know, so as to improve the recall rate. In addition, in order to detect high-quality papers, the publication time and periodical sources of documents can be limited.

We can search by year in stages, for example, we can choose the literature from 20 17 to 20 18 for the first time, which can effectively prevent the literature from being omitted or reread, and it will not be too messy.

For example, click Advanced Search from the homepage of HowNet-select the discipline field (economic management field)-enter two keywords "engineering project" and "financial risk control" in the search criteria column-and then select the publication time: 20 1 May 4/-201May 9/kloc-. In this way, we can retrieve 46 related documents.

(4) Tracing method to find documents: If there are few suitable documents found in this way, tracing method can also be used. Tracing method refers to the method of tracing the original texts (cited documents) one by one by using the references listed at the back of the documents instead of using the general retrieval system, and then expanding the scope of literature information one by one from the list of references listed at the back of these original texts. It can snowball and get better retrieval results according to the citation relationship between documents.

For example, we take a document that has just been retrieved as an example and click on the title to download it.

If there are still too many documents to choose from, we can combine the following restrictions to choose the appropriate document:

A, the release time of documents, preferably in the last five years, if there are few documents in the last five years, then the time can be longer, if there are too many documents in the last five years, you can only look at the last two to three years.

B, try to choose more cited and downloaded documents, indicating that these documents are generally recognized and read more;

C, if there are many documents, then we will try to select some core journal papers of this major;

Generally speaking, we can search for the required documents through the above search methods, and we believe that the quality and relevance of the documents found in this way will be relatively high.

Next, we will download the selected literature. Select a document, click the title, and you can download it directly.

For social science majors such as literature, history and philosophy. I recommend a free website-National Documentation Center for Philosophy and Social Sciences. If you don't have an account such as HowNet, it is also convenient to download some documents through this website. The method is similar to HowNet, so I won't introduce it in detail here.
