Improve the technical level of die fitter
Abstract: Die fitter plays a very important role in the process of die production in China. Now more and more people choose to work in the operation of numerical control equipment, and fewer and fewer people are willing to be locksmiths. Therefore, to a great extent, this has led to a sharp decline in the number of mold assemblers, and the quality of mold assemblers is also declining, which makes the mold manufacturing enterprises in China face the problem of lack of locksmiths, and the locksmiths currently owned by enterprises also have the problem of low technical level. In view of these problems, this paper introduces the importance of improving the technical level of die fitter, and improves the technical level of die fitter from the aspects of professional technology, fitter professional construction, fitter learning and training, fitter tool standardization, improving its learning and working environment, and providing learning materials.

Whether it is the service life cycle, precision or manufacturing cost of mold production, there is a big gap between China's mold technology level and foreign countries. Of course, there are many reasons for this gap, and the low technical level of die assemblers is the most critical reason.
First, the importance of improving the technical level of die fitter
According to the author's many years' teaching practice of locksmith production and the investigation of enterprise manufacturing process, it is found that with the retirement of more and more old workers and the entry of new workers, the work of die locksmith has not attracted enough attention from enterprise leaders, so the tools assigned to die locksmith are not standardized or even seriously lacking, which greatly reduces the work efficiency of locksmith and leads to the low quality of die manufacturing. Despite the technological progress, the emergence of advanced equipment such as machining and manufacturing center, CNC machine tools and high-precision electric pulse machining technology has made the machining accuracy of molds take a big step forward. However, this can not completely replace the work of die assemblers. The die fitter still plays a great role in improving the quality of the die, at least at the current technical level, so we should pay enough attention to the work of the die fitter. Because even if the level of mold designer is higher, there will inevitably be omissions in the design process, and the mold designed by the designer may have some problems, but these problems will not be exposed in the design process, and often will be exposed after the mold is processed or used. So fitters often find these problems when they encounter them. It is precisely because of this that a higher level of die fitter is needed. Next, this paper puts forward its own opinions and suggestions on improving the technical level of die fitters.
Second, some thoughts on improving the technical level of die fitter
1. The fitter's division of labor is refined and specialized.
If a technology or major wants to get further development, it is necessary to carry out construction and research in different disciplines and directions, such as professional subdivision, research and construction in stamping and drawing. The development of any discipline is like this, starting from the discipline itself, creating various disciplines that intersect with this discipline, and then conducting research and development in all directions. The subdivision and construction of specialties is an important foundation for talent training. Only when the specialty of die fitter is more detailed, can we establish a complete system structure and realize specialization, and can we really improve the corresponding technical level of fitter in the training process.
2. Fitter training
The most important thing for locksmiths is to provide professional training for employees. Specialized training can improve the technical level of die fitters in enterprises in a short time, and improve their skills and abilities accordingly. Because most people who work as locksmiths do not have a good academic foundation, they should master skills when training them, combine theory with practice in the training process, explain the theory in simple terms and combine it with the reality of locksmiths' work. The training of die fitter can be divided into three aspects. The first aspect is to introduce the relevant knowledge about molds, the second aspect is to introduce the basic theoretical knowledge possessed by mold fitters, and the third part is to apply the skills learned in the second part in practical operation. Mold manufacturing is a technology-intensive technology, so there are many limitations to set up a technical guidance group to avoid the previous training mode of master taking apprentices. Adopting the training mode of technical guidance group can give full play to everyone's technical advantages, speed up the training of new mold assemblers, facilitate the communication between colleagues, and thus improve the technical level of mold processing.
3. The fitter should be equipped with standard tools.
As the saying goes? If you want to do a good job, you must sharpen your tools first? As a die fitter, standardized tools are essential. Mold assemblers must be able to skillfully use these tools and use them to complete the corresponding tasks, which is an important symbol to measure the technical level of a mold assembler. Next, the author introduces a tool that a die fitter should be equipped with according to his own work practice:
(1) vice is necessary for locksmith, jaws should be parallel and smooth. The tooth line of the jaw can be erased with other tools, otherwise it may cause damage to the surface of the mold, and as a fitter himself, there will be problems, and he should repair them.
(2) as a fitter, should have a separate workbench, workbench is equipped with protective net.
(3) There should be files of each section. If some tooth surfaces of the file will hurt the mold, it can be smoothed, and molds with various surfaces can be processed quickly without causing damage to the mold.
(4) The customized or self-made file makes the mold have more accurate dimensions after production.
⑤ There should be a set of corresponding parallel splints for heat treatment, which can be used to clamp the mold during the mold processing before construction, which not only makes the operation easier, but also makes the mold more accurate.
⑥ There are fixtures and various models, which can facilitate the fitter to combine and process various parts.
⑦ There should be a standard angle template, so that all aspects of the processed mold can be measured in all directions.
⑧ There should be grinding plates with various sections. This kind of grinding disc can be made of small copper. If the scale is large, it can be made of cast iron, so it can be used as a grinding tool in the process of die finishing.

It is necessary to have a long-handled drill bit and reamer, which the assembler can use to process deep holes. Such as cooling water holes and other holes in plastic injection molds. Various types of scrapers are needed to facilitate the processing and repair of molds. Such as machining various surfaces and various holes. A spray gun is needed to spray the surface of the mold and spray alloy powder.
These tools cover almost all fields and aspects of die assembler's work. These tools are essential for locksmiths, and only with complete tools can the above work be completed on time with good quality and quantity.
4. Good working environment and learning environment
A good working environment means that mold workers can work in a comfortable environment and can stimulate the enthusiasm of locksmiths to a great extent. As a fitter, the workplace should have all kinds of necessary office tables and chairs, air conditioners, water dispensers, etc. The workplace should be equipped with a toolbox, which should be neatly arranged and easy to use, and the tools in the toolbox should be classified and stored. If the measuring tool is separated from all kinds of tools, the blades of all kinds of tools can't collide with other objects, such as putting a small file in a box; Block graphic files in folders. So that the work is more convenient. A good working environment is an external factor for locksmith employees to improve efficiency and technology, and this external factor can not be ignored for improving locksmith's technical level. In addition, we should also provide a good learning environment for locksmiths, provide more technical materials for locksmiths to learn, facilitate their own charging, and constantly improve their technical level. In addition, wages are also a matter of great concern to locksmiths. Raising locksmith's salary is the key to improve locksmith's work enthusiasm. If his enthusiasm is improved, he will involuntarily devote himself to the study and research of locksmith technology, so as to finally improve his technical level.
Third, the conclusion
Because the locksmith's labor is manual and technical, and the locksmith's salary is low, there is a lot of brain drain in this area, but the locksmith is indispensable in the mold production process. Although the technology is developing and the number of people needed for mold production is decreasing, from the current technical point of view, mold production still needs manual participation. This paper introduces the necessity of locksmith work. This paper also introduces how to improve the technical level of die fitter from various aspects, in order to make contributions to the improvement of the technical level of die fitter and the development of die fitter in China.
