PFA soluble PTFE has a melting point of about 580F and a density of 2.13-2.16g/cc (g/cm3). PFA is similar to PTFE and FEP, but above 302T, its mechanical properties are slightly better than FEP, and it can be used at temperatures as high as 500 F. The chemical resistance of PFA soluble polytetrafluoroethylene is equivalent to that of PTEF. The product forms of PFA soluble PTFE are granular products used for molding and extrusion, and powdery products used for rotational moulding and coating. PFA soluble PTFE semi-finished products include films, plates, bars and pipes. PFA resins sold in American market include Teflon brand of DUPOut Company, Neoflon brand of Daikin Company, Hthen brand of Ansimont Company and Hostafl brand of HOechst Celanese Company. The use of PFA soluble PTFE is similar to FEP.
