Wu's life story.
1936—— 1938 Wu was sent by academia sinica to study at Harvard university in the United States. He studied agricultural economic theory under the famous Professor Beullac. He has heard Schumpeter's lecture on economic theory. 1938 graduated with a master's degree, passed the preliminary examination of doctoral degree, and prepared a doctoral thesis entitled "Economic Development Theory of Agricultural Countries". 1938 ~ 1939 studying at the university of Berlin, Germany. 1947- 1948 After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Wu was supported by Roche Fund and went to the United States for further study, completing his doctoral thesis "Capital Formation and Consumption Expenditure in China (1933)", and then returned to China, where he has been working in the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as a researcher, deputy director, acting director and director of the Research Office of Economic Thought History of China Academy of Sciences. At present, he is a researcher and consultant of China Academy of Social Sciences, a member of the academic committee of Economic Research Institute, a consultant of the editorial board of Economic Research, a professor of graduate school, an adjunct professor of Peking University, a vice president of the China Society of Economic Thought History, a vice president of the Foreign Economic Theory Research Association, a member of the Standing Committee of China Association for the Promotion of Democracy, a member of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and a vice president of Beijing CPPCC. He is also a member of the editorial board of China Encyclopedia of Economics. 1 February 19991died in Beijing at the age of 94.
