As a characteristic specialty of sanatorium in our hospital, psychology department mainly accepts patients with various psychological disorders and mild mental disorders. Mental patients have their particularity. The clinical characteristics of mental illness determine that it is different from ordinary people in thinking, emotion, will and behavior, unconscious, lacking of self-awareness, and even manifested as excitement or inhibition of mental movement. In severe cases, special behaviors such as self-mutilation, suicide, wounding and destroying things may occur, endangering society [1]. As an open nursing department, it is very important to study a new nursing model for the development of the department. Since the establishment of 1999, the psychology department of our hospital has explored a set of standardized nursing mode with reference to the nursing mode of the hospital psychiatric department and combined with the characteristics of its own nursing mode in sanatoriums, and achieved good results in application.
