1. Curriculum Requirements of China Senior High School
For those applicants studying in China who are not in the British education system, we need you to have graduated from high school and attended a recognized British basic course. In some cases, after the top ranked China University 1 year, experience can replace IFY, and special consideration will be given according to the institutions and contents of the first year of study. We also ask you to meet our English language requirements. We also accept students from the NCUK international study program.
2. Advanced Certificate in General Education
ABB: A-level students who aim at modern European languages must reach ABB level (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian).
AS: It is not considered as part of the standard admission process of Manchester University.
The University of Manchester welcomes information about the company. Like all other information provided by the applicant, this information may be considered when evaluating the application. The unit grade usually does not form part of the offer conditions.
3. General secondary education certificate requirements
Applicants must prove that they have received a wide range of general education, including an acceptable level of culture and mathematics, equivalent to at least C or 4 in GCSE English language and mathematics (please note that some degree courses may require higher scores). GCSE English literature cannot replace GCSE English.
4. International Diploma
The grades equivalent to Grade A are as follows:
A * AA: the total score is 37, and the advanced subjects are 7, 6 and 6.
AAA: The total score is 36 points, 6 points, 6 points, 6 points.
AAB: The total score is 35 points, and the advanced mathematics subjects are 6 points, 6 points and 5 points.
ABB: the total score is 34, and the high-tech department is 6, 5, 5.

All applicants (from Britain and overseas) must show proof of English language ability. The minimum requirements for English in this course are:
GCSE English Language Level B/6 or IELTS 7.0, or acceptable equivalent. The UK Visa and Immigration Bureau requires all students from outside the UK and the EU to show proof of minimum English level in order to obtain a UK visa (Tier 4 visa) and study at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. This level is usually called "B2 level".

Third, the course details
This is a four-year degree course. One year of overseas study is divided into Middle Eastern countries and European countries, where you can use your own language. It combines the compulsory language elements with the cultural, political, historical, literary, linguistic and religious research options of the two countries. Language curriculum units range from absolute elementary to advanced Arabic. Elective course units have a wide range of developmental choices; Students will be advised by private tutors (once or three times a year) when choosing these teachers.

In the first year, the balance between the two languages/cultures is equal; After that, the balance can be changed to one-third/two-thirds, which is beneficial to one party. A year of studying abroad provides you with the opportunity to gain first-hand experience from fascinating countries in the Middle East and Europe. You will have the opportunity to gain oral skills, experience the modern lifestyle there and promote your personal development. Students are eligible to receive financial support from the University of Manchester to pay tuition fees at institutions in the Middle East.
Teaching methods include seminars, lectures, texts, independent research under the guidance, conversation courses (native speakers) and language laboratory work. Group work is very common. Language teaching focuses on four skills: speaking, writing, reading and listening. By using communicative skills, culture teaching is a part of all language teaching. Some language courses are held in the multimedia language center, and students can also study alone.
Four. Annual course introduction
Almost all course units are evaluated by course assignments (such as papers, group projects/demonstrations) and a combination of written and oral tests.
1 year course content: the first year of study will focus on strengthening language learning. IT also has a core course on the contemporary Middle East, which promotes the development of learning and IT skills.

The University Language Center is an advanced open learning facility, which allows you to study independently effectively.
