According to the old man's notice, after Mr. Qi's death, there will be no wreath, no auditorium and no farewell ceremony, but a memorial hall will be set up online. The old man said before his death that these ceremonies would not be extravagant and wasteful. Mr. Qi 1952 graduated from the Department of Mathematics of Wuhan University, and 1988 was the president of Wuhan University. He made an indelible contribution to the field of mathematics all his life. He has made great contributions in the field of partial differential equations, and has many works, such as Modern Theory of Partial Differential Equations.

The serious responsibility for the death of Mr. Qi Zhi is a heavy blow to the mathematics community in China. As a teacher, Mr. Qi is also conscientious. He once told some colleagues that he was educating the living people and students with feelings and thoughts. Therefore, we should influence them with emotion and shape them with knowledge. This serious and responsible work attitude is also the performance of Mr. Qi's life.

Teaching and educating people is the most worthy of our respect for these people's teachers who stick to their jobs.
