The Present Situation and Problems of Rural English Teaching
The present situation and problems of rural English teaching.

With the rapid development of globalization, the importance of English as an international language has become increasingly prominent. With the development of society and the continuous improvement of education level, in recent years, China began to offer English teaching in the third grade of primary school.

However, in many rural primary schools, due to the backward economic conditions, there is a big gap between the resources of rural schools and urban schools, and the concept of rural family education lags behind, which leads to the severe test of English teaching in rural primary schools. It is an important research topic to find an English teaching model suitable for rural primary schools. It is urgent to change the present situation of English teaching in rural primary schools. In view of the present situation of English in rural primary schools and the ways to solve it, this paper puts forward some views.

Countermeasures for the current situation of English teaching in rural primary schools 1. The present situation of English teaching in primary schools in modern rural areas (1) Parents of students do not know enough about the importance of English in primary schools. English is offered in primary schools to meet the needs of social and times development. Through English teaching, primary school students' initial sense of language can be well cultivated, laying a foundation for further study. However, in rural primary schools, many parents do not attach importance to English. In their minds, only Chinese and mathematics belong to the main courses, which directly affect children's English learning. For example, some parents simply don't let their children learn English. They think it is enough to learn Chinese and math well, but it is unnecessary to learn English. Under the influence of such an environment, some children gradually ignore English learning, and some even give up learning English.

(II) Poor English teaching resources in rural primary schools English teaching in primary schools is mainly based on situational teaching. Multimedia, projection, wall charts, physical objects and other teaching tools are used to realize the organic combination of animation and sound, which can stimulate the interest of primary school students and improve the quality of English teaching. However, in most rural primary schools, there are only a few multimedia classrooms, which are far from meeting the needs of English teaching in primary schools and hinder English teaching.

(3) The teaching method is not novel. Due to the backwardness of rural educational resources and the lack of theoretical literacy of rural teachers, many teachers still adhere to the traditional teaching model.
