To sum up, the following definitions can be used in the beginning or main paragraph of an argumentative paper, but generally they are not suitable for the end paragraph. In addition to the definitions in the dictionary, Langer Overseas Examination Research Center suggests that candidates can also give meaning to nouns or phrases in terms of their functions, uses, specific examples, etc., which belong to the definition category.
