Investigation report and experience of social practice of restaurant waiters

In order to better understand the society, exercise myself, feel the current situation of social employment and experience the fun of work, I found a job as a hotel waiter during the holiday of this semester according to the time and my actual situation. Although it's only been a month, I feel I've benefited a lot. My short working experience has made me realize the pressure of employment, the lack of ability and the hardships of society. At the same time, it has also made me feel incomparable happiness at work, a kind of happiness that I can't feel in the free world of school.

When I put on that bright red overalls, it shows that my work will bring me happiness. We all know that everything is difficult at the beginning, so I am very careful about my initial work. I feel so lonely in this strange hot pot city. In my impression, the waiter's job is nothing more than handing the food to the waiter, that's all. But actually I was wrong. Go to work at 9: 00 every morning and call the roll at 9: 30 on time. Then our waiter's job is to clean, including stairs and toilets that no one wants to clean. Every time someone gets drunk, they throw up everywhere in the bathroom. Because I just started business, I didn't recruit a specific cleaner, and I wanted to vomit several times. We didn't do such work at home, so we began to shrink back. After that, we began to stand and wait for the arrival of the guests, and then our formal work began. That is, just take the dishes from the back kitchen to the designated table in the front hall. You can rest after work at 2: 30, start the roll call at 4: 30 in the afternoon, and then repeat the morning work until you get home at 10. The work is simple, but I'm a little tired. Think about it. I transported the food from the first floor to the second and third floors, ran it once, and finally moved it back to the kitchen on the first floor after the guests left. I can't remember how many times I ran it a day. I don't know whose leg it is until I get off work at night. I feel sore all over, but one advantage is that I can fall asleep easily.

After several days of repeated work, although I was very tired, in order to impress them, I tried my best to do my job well and help the waiters and kitchens from time to time. I also got to know some other hotel employees, so I thought I was familiar with them, and the shackles in my heart seemed to be gone. I began to drift a little, learned to be lazy, and learned these bad habits that I shouldn't learn, which made me criticized and learned a lesson. When all the food was served, I felt very tired and sat in a chair to have a rest. I didn't expect to be seen by the manager. He took me aside and said earnestly, you are different from some of our colleagues. You are highly educated, so you should make more use of your time to study, enrich and improve yourself. Young people should not be afraid of pain. Don't suffer when you are young. Isn't it painful to be old? I know you are a college student with great ambitions and want to do great things, but you must never underestimate doing small things. Great things are accumulated by small things, and the ability to do great things is also accumulated by the ability to do small things. Since you are a waiter, you should do a good job as a waiter. From that day on, I understood that being a man and doing things should be serious, diligent, practical and honest with my conscience and myself. Indeed, after listening to the manager's good advice to me, my ideological understanding has been further improved, and to some extent, it has pointed out a good direction for me to work hard.

As the hotel has just opened and there are many guests, I not only work as a waiter, but sometimes I also work as a waiter, which undoubtedly adds color to my work and life. The job of a waiter is essentially different from that of a waiter. The waiter's job is that people sit and stand, people eat and watch, and they are on call and obey the orders of the guests at any time. This also made me deeply understand the world in a small society. Guests are God here. I can't let my temper run wild. No matter what the guest says, no matter how ugly it is, we should smile. Even if we have suffered a great injustice, we can't vent. Because this is what we have to do, and we have to do our best! The first time I heard a guest's compliment to me, at that moment, I don't want to mention how excited I was. Growing up, I have heard countless praises, but not a word has touched me so much, made me so emotional and unforgettable.

Time always flies, and I ended my part-time job. When I leave, when I take my real money, I will always remember that feeling.

Summary: I have had a full and meaningful holiday. This is a fortune. In social practice, I can learn knowledge that books can't. Let me broaden my horizons, understand the society, go deep into life, and have endless aftertaste. What's more, the process and experience of participating in social practice activities itself is a valuable asset. The transformation of knowledge into practical ability depends on practical experience and exercise. Faced with the increasingly severe employment situation and the ever-changing society, I think college students should change their concepts, not simply use holiday jobs as a means to earn money or accumulate social experience, but more importantly, take the opportunity to cultivate their entrepreneurial and social practice abilities. Through this practical activity, I have the following experiences:

First, be good at communicating with people. Only through communication can we really understand a thing and a person, so that we can get twice the result with half the effort when doing things, and we should listen, be patient and accept suggestions from others.

Second, we should improve our self-confidence. If you have confidence, you have already succeeded halfway.

Third, knowledge and technology are the last word. Compared with the hotel interior, the average salary of the kitchen is at least half that of the waiter. Moreover, earning money with knowledge and skills is more respected by others.

Fourth, do things conscientiously, diligently and practically, and be worthy of your conscience and yourself.

After social practice, I will gradually become more mature and confident, which will have an important impact on my future study, life and work. I will work harder to learn scientific and cultural knowledge, arm my brain with knowledge, enrich myself and make my life more valuable.
