Serenade for strings in g major (op. 525)

Mozart wrote thirteen serenades in his life, the most representative of which was "Serenade for Strings in G Major" written in August 1787. This is a light music.

Full of simple and sincere feelings. It is played by the first violin, the second violin, viola, cello and double cello. Because this is the only one of all Mozart's serenades.

One is played with strings, so it is called "String Serenade" or "String Serenade in G Major". It is a model of instrumental serenade in18th century.

This work has four movements. The first movement: Allegro, sonata structure, with the style of March. The prelude of the first four bars is an introductory phrase with horn characteristics.

The fourth movement: Allegro, Rondo sonata structure. The presentation section contains two topics. The first theme is a Venice pop song with a lively melody.

The theme of youthful vitality and brilliant life is repeated five times in this movement, but the tonality changes every time.

The second theme is beautiful, delicate and vivid, which is similar to the second part of the theme of the first movement and has the style of dance music.
