Brief introduction of Dawu village
Dawu village, known as the hometown of clay sculpture, is also the hometown of overseas Chinese. It consists of two natural villages: big house and small forest. The main village is the big house, which was called Fengshulong in ancient times. It belongs to Fuyang Town, Chaozhou City. 3 kilometers south of the town government, it is located on the east side of Chaoxian Highway, bordering Yinhu Village in longhu town in the east, Mianchao Village in longhu town in the south, Gu Lou Village in Jin Shizhen in the west, Yancuo Village in the northwest and Houguo Village in longhu town in the northeast. Reconciliation is great. At the end of the Song Dynasty, the nomads from the Jin Dynasty invaded and the Central Plains was at war. Zu Shangwu moved to Chaozhou with his three sons from Zhangpu, Fujian, and later grew up and started a business in Jufeng Shulong. At that time, Mo, Lin and Yao lived together. A.D. 1360~ 1400, the surname moved abroad, only Wu Wei was the first surname, and it was renamed Dawu because it was the eldest son when it was founded.
