Su Shi has a saying: "People who made great achievements in ancient times were not only outstanding talents, but also had the will to persevere." It can be seen that perseverance is a necessary condition for success from ancient times to the present. Xun Kuang's "Perseverance, Perseverance, a stone can be carved" also conveys a similar truth.
The true embodiment of persistence lies not in truth, but in facts. The scholar insisted that Dong Zhongshu, a great scholar in the Han Dynasty, knew nothing about gardens and was poor in Confucian classics, but he became a famous scholar in the Han Dynasty and assisted the great cause of Emperor Wu. Mr. Nan Ren Dong, the "father of Eye of Heaven", put forward the idea of Eye of Heaven, traveled around the world, personally inspected and led the construction. It took 30 years to accumulate a bright eye, which is the insistence of scientific workers; Wu Dajing, the champion of the Winter Olympics, encountered many difficulties when he was a skateboarder. He never gave up his dream and finally put himself on the highest podium with perseverance. This is the insistence of athletes. Throughout history, the above three cases are just the tip of the iceberg, and the people who succeed by perseverance are even more difficult to count. This is the first level of my humble opinion: persistence can only give us wings, so that we can fly high after a long period of persistence, showing the powerful power of "those who stay long will fly high" and "soar nine Wan Li".
So, will persistence bring success? Sometimes we persist and give, and the result may not be satisfactory, but have we really failed? Not exactly. Ancient sages have begun to think about this problem in mythology. In Kuafu day after day, "dying of thirst" can be regarded as a tragic death, but "abandoning his staff and turning into Deng Lin" immediately painted it with a layer of bright colors without regrets. Qu Ping's self-cultivation, "do your best until you die", and finally throw yourself into the river in indignation, which is a disillusionment he insists on. Qu Yuan not only "died without regrets" himself, but also paved a sacred spiritual road of "Tao shines in the light for generations to come". As the author feels in "A Journey to Baochan Mountain": "Those who can't do what I want can have no regrets. Who can laugh?" Perseverance and hard work, even if the objective environmental factors make our success go up in smoke, we can still say "I'll do my best and leave it to fate, and I have no regrets". This is the second meaning of my ignorance.
