"Should middle school students read extracurricular books?" As a Chinese teacher, I am in favor of students reading extracurricular books. Chinese learning is inseparable from the cultivation of middle school students' two abilities: reading comprehension and expression. In essence, students' Chinese learning is gradually improving these two abilities, and reading extracurricular books is only an effective way to improve these two abilities. As a middle school student, reading as many useful extra-curricular books as possible can broaden one's knowledge, deepen one's cultural background and improve one's personal accomplishment. We should cultivate students, not only to make them literate and knowledgeable, but also to make them literate and tasteful.
