Abstract: They are attached to their teachers and respect them very much. They are full of trust in their teachers and depend on them to a great extent in their feelings and behaviors. In the fifth and sixth grades, with the gradual maturity of physical development and the gradual enhancement of critical consciousness and independence, they gradually have their own judgments instead of blindly following the teacher. The teacher does not take the initiative to talk to him about things, and he will not take the initiative to seek the teacher's help and guidance. The specific physical and mental development characteristics of primary school students make them unwilling to talk to teachers, which also affects primary schools.
Communication between teachers and students is of great significance in primary education. Effective communication between teachers and students can have a positive promotion and far-reaching impact on teaching. This paper analyzes the main reasons of poor communication between teachers and students, and puts forward how to further promote effective communication between teachers and students from the aspects of educational philosophy, communication skills and teachers' cultivation.
Suggestions on the root causes of communication problems between teachers and students in primary schools
There is a famous saying in Xue Ji that "kiss your teacher and believe in his way". Therefore, harmonious teacher-student relationship plays a vital role in teaching effect. Education is a process of interaction, communication and mutual understanding between teachers and students, so teachers are required to have the ability to communicate effectively with students. Suhomlinski once said: "The pinnacle of educational technology-the harmonious realm of spiritual communication between teachers and students." Therefore, healthy and harmonious communication plays an important role in the communication between teachers and students.
However, in real life, some teachers still don't realize the significance of teacher-student communication, don't know how to achieve teaching goals through teacher-student communication, and lack communication skills. Looking back on my work experience for more than ten years, I have a lot of feelings in my communication with students, and I realize that effective communication between teachers and students has a profound and far-reaching impact on students.
Firstly, the causes of communication problems between teachers and students in primary schools are analyzed.
1. The educational concept of "dignity as a teacher" is deeply rooted.
Teachers are the possessor and spokesman of knowledge, the representative of social requirements and the admonisher of moral norms, so they are the control center of educational power and full of authority. Students can only ask for advice with an open mind, accept it all, and even do it as required. Undoubtedly, the traditional cultural concept of teachers' dignity strengthens teachers' authority consciousness, and teachers can easily slip into the behavior mode of rights. Today, some teachers still can't get rid of the traditional concept of teacher's dignity, and it is difficult to communicate with students on an equal footing.
2. Teachers' self-cultivation is not high and they lack communication skills.
In real life, many teachers don't take the time to get to know students deeply, and they know very little about the characteristics of students in all aspects, so the education and teaching work is aimless, and the communication with students is too superficial, without goals and pertinence. It is conceivable that the effect of communication is also minimal.
3. The particularity of pupils' physical and mental development affects the effect of communication between teachers and students.
Pupils in lower grades have deep feelings for their parents and teachers. They have obvious attachment to their teachers, and they respect and trust them. They are very dependent on their teachers in their feelings and behaviors. The unique physical and mental development characteristics of primary school students make them unwilling to talk to teachers, which is also a major reason for the communication problems between teachers and students in primary schools.
4. Parents' incomprehension affects the effect of communication between teachers and students.
In today's society, which emphasizes "home-school cooperation", people have realized that educating children is the common result of parents and schools. But at present, many parents have such an idea of shirking their responsibilities, thinking that sending their children to school can be left to the teacher, so don't worry too much. Even some parents have never been to school and don't know which class their children are in, let alone communicate with teachers often. Lack of communication between parents and teachers will inevitably affect the communication between teachers and students.
Second, effective communication strategies between teachers and students
Based on my own work experience, the author tries to put forward some suggestions for teachers to refer to when communicating with students.
1. Establish a correct view of teachers and students.
Establishing a correct view of teachers and students is the premise of establishing a good relationship between teachers and students. In school education, teachers are educators, leaders and service providers. Students are educatees, leaders and masters of learning. Therefore, we should abandon the traditional concept of "dignity as a teacher", emphasize that students are the main body of learning, and do not deny or belittle the leading role of teachers in education and teaching practice.
2. Care for students and treat them equally.
First of all, teachers should devote themselves to the education they love, care and love students with their true feelings, and be good teachers and friends of students. Only in the atmosphere of love can students gain a sense of physical and psychological security, release all their potential as much as possible, and give play to their talents and personality. Suhomlinski said: "To be a real child educator, you must give your heart to them."
Secondly, teachers should treat all students equally and respect their individual differences. Influenced by genetic inheritance, family background, educational methods and living environment, each student has objective differences in personal temperament and learning ability. Recognizing this and implementing the principle of individualization, our education management will truly face all students, do everything possible to discover and tap the potential of each student, and try our best to create good conditions for the growth of each student.
3. Master communication skills and strengthen communication between teachers and students.
Strengthening the communication between teachers and students is the basis of establishing a good relationship between teachers and students. Teachers must learn and master some communication skills.
(1) played down the role consciousness.
Teachers should have a sense of role and meet the requirements of role. But if this kind of role consciousness and behavior is "excessive", it may cause teachers' "power" consciousness. Therefore, for teachers, it is necessary to change the old idea of "dignity as a teacher" and establish the consciousness of equal communication with students. Teachers should not put on airs or be hypocritical, but should sincerely express their ideas and give students a sense of closeness, so as to realize real equality and free communication between teachers and students.
(2) master conversation skills
Conversation is a basic skill of teachers and a common way of communication between teachers and students. Teachers should design conversation methods according to different contents and purposes, especially the following contents:
First of all, we should work hard on language. Teacher-student communication is the communication process of information exchange and emotional exchange between teachers and students, and the way of communication is mainly through language. Warm and touching words can open the skylight of students' hearts, soothe their wounds and point directly to the depths of students' hearts.
Secondly, we should work hard on body language. As we all know, body language is not controlled by people's consciousness like speech acts, and it is often a subconscious behavior of people. Therefore, teachers sometimes show behaviors that are not conducive to communication with students without being aware of them, which will have a negative impact on future communication between teachers and students and students' social activities.
(3) Listen actively
In the communication and understanding between teachers and students, listening is a skill, which, like other skills, can only be acquired through study and practice. For teachers, it is undoubtedly a great encouragement and spur to treat students, especially those who make mistakes, when they feel that teachers are listening carefully to their own voices and teachers can guess the inner thoughts of students. If a teacher wants to be a good listener, he should express his interest in the topics raised by students through body language such as concentration and sympathetic expression in the process of listening. The goal of active listening is not to help students solve problems, but to provide students with an echo wall, an object to talk to and time and space to solve problems. Teachers' active listening and democratic management will certainly enhance the harmonious relationship between teachers and students and promote the healthy development of education and teaching.
(4) Be good at grasping communication opportunities.
When we communicate with students, we should be good at grasping the opportunity, as Pestalozzi said: "Every good education needs a mother's eyes, and always accurately understand every change of her inner emotions from her eyes, mouth and forehead movements." Teachers can give students appropriate psychological counseling and timely encouragement and praise at appropriate times, which can not only make students feel the attention and affirmation from teachers, but also help students establish a positive self-image, improve their self-confidence and self-motivation, and promote their positive development.
4. Strengthen study, keep pace with the times and improve self-cultivation.
Facing the ever-changing new situation and social background, teachers should constantly renew themselves and improve their self-cultivation, quality and ability. Teachers should actively participate in all kinds of relevant training, consciously learn some necessary communication knowledge, and strive to apply what they have learned to student management and teaching. Only by strengthening their self-cultivation, quality and ability can teachers communicate with teachers easily, ensure effective communication between teachers and students, and finally achieve effective communication and achieve the purpose of communication.
