Huaixi is called Huaiyou, which is a regional name. In the Song Dynasty, Huainan West Road and Huainan East Road were set up in central Anhui and Jiangsu. Huainan West Road is called Huaiyou and Huainan East Road is called Huaizuo, which is commonly called Huaibei. The territory of Huainan West Road includes Shouzhou (now Shouchun in Anhui), Luzhou (now Hefei in Anhui), Haozhou (now Fengyang in Anhui), Zhou Shu (now Buried Hill in Anhui), Hezhou (now Hexian in Anhui), qi zhou (now Qichun in Hubei), Gwangju (now Huangchuan in Henan), Wuwei Army (now Wuwei in Anhui) and Lu 'an Army.

Jianghuai area
Jianghuai area is the area between the Yangtze River and Huaihe River, which is located in the south of Henan Province, the south of Jiangsu Province, the south of Huaihe River in Anhui Province, and the north (downstream) of the Yangtze River in China (including Yangzhou, Taizhou, Nantong, Yancheng, Huai 'an, Huainan, Chuzhou, Lu 'an, Hefei and Xinyang), and is mainly alluvial by the Yangtze River and Huaihe River. Jianghuai area is low-lying, with the elevation generally below 10 meter, water network criss-crossing and numerous lakes.
