Too large or too small static pressure will seriously affect the safe and efficient operation of trains.

Most traction power supply systems in China will choose 25KV and 50Hz power supply modes. First, the locomotive pantograph receives current and inputs it into traction transformer through main circuit breaker and high voltage current transformer. The traction transformer converts the voltage of 25KV and transmits it to the converter module. After passing through the rectifier, intermediate DC and inverter of the converter, the power is input to the traction motor to generate traction.

During the operation of high-voltage electrical equipment of electric locomotive, various overvoltage will be encountered, which are caused by different reasons. This paper briefly analyzes this, discusses the influence of overvoltage on the operation of high-voltage electrical equipment of electric locomotive, and summarizes relevant measures according to the existing situation, in order to prevent overvoltage and further ensure the safety and stability of electrical equipment operation.
