Therefore, we must first establish students' self-confidence. Primary school students' confidence in speaking English mainly comes from teachers' evaluation of them. Therefore, teachers should trust students' ability and encourage them to speak boldly. First, be good at quoting classics and let students actively cultivate self-confidence. Inspiring people with advanced deeds is the starting point to help students establish self-confidence in English learning. "Where there is a will, there is a way, and 3,000 armor can swallow Wu." There are countless examples of thrift at home and abroad. I often use Li Yang, the founder of Crazy English, to motivate my students. It doesn't matter if the foundation is poor, stupid birds fly first. The key is to guide students to establish self-confidence in learning English well: others can speak fluent, pure and authentic English, so can we! Second, be good at praising and encouraging students to regain their confidence. Children are very confident, and too much criticism and blame from parents and teachers make them lose confidence. As a teacher, we should first have confidence in them and give them more care and love. Praise them more and criticize and accuse them less. Always say to them, "You can do it, the teacher believes in you." For students, this means teachers' attention, care and expectation. If students' practices can be evaluated by teachers in a timely and pertinent manner, students will feel appreciated and valued, and they will be happy, positive and enhance their self-confidence. On the contrary, you will be depressed, passive and lack of self-confidence. Even if they do something wrong, don't totally deny it, let alone be cynical. Third, be good at creating opportunities to keep students confident all the time. The condition of cultivating students' self-confidence is to let them gain successful experiences continuously, while too many failed experiences make them doubt their abilities. Therefore, teachers should put forward tasks and requirements suitable for students' level according to their development characteristics and personality differences, and set appropriate goals so as to accomplish them through hard work. Pay attention to stimulate students' initiative and enthusiasm in learning, be good at creating opportunities for students to succeed in physical examination, affirm their abilities and have confidence. Second, stimulate interest and make students love to speak English. Interest is one of the factors that affect students' learning attitude, but it does play a key role in the process of students' learning. Pupils often learn English from their interests. If they are forced to learn English, it will bring them more psychological burden and lead to weariness of learning. Therefore, teachers should carefully design various lively classroom teaching activities which are closely combined with the reality of primary school students' lives, so that students can learn and use language in a natural and comfortable atmosphere, stimulate students' interest in speaking English and arouse their enthusiasm in speaking English.
