On the causes of soil erosion and its control measures
The causes of soil erosion are both natural and human. Natural causes are mainly caused by topography, climate, soil (ground composition), vegetation and other factors. Man-made reasons mainly refer to unreasonable production and construction activities that accelerate the destruction and movement of surface soil, as well as other human activities, such as war.

Causes and countermeasures of soil erosion

1 reason

human factor

(1), human unreasonable use of land, destroyed the ground vegetation and stable terrain, and caused serious soil erosion.

(2) Population growth and urban development Due to the rapid increase of population, the land load increases.

(3) Wind erosion and soil erosion caused by predatory development and man-made destruction of vegetation.

Natural factors: there are mainly four aspects: climate, rainfall, ground material composition and vegetation.

2 measures

1. Reduce agricultural land, focus on building terraces, tablelands, dams and gentle slopes in Sichuan, fully tap water resources, adopt modern agricultural technical measures, improve land productivity, and gradually build basic farmland with high and stable yield;

2. Expand the planting area of forest and grass;

3. Improve the vegetation of natural grassland. Where overgrazing exists, it is necessary to appropriately reduce the number of livestock, improve the quality of livestock, and implement rotational grazing;

4. Reclamation and backfilling refers to the comprehensive technical process of recovering damaged or degraded land and restoring its ecosystem.
