Perfection is the moon in the eyes of the ancients and the north star in the eyes of the present, but beauty is hard to achieve. However, people always pursue perfection. Perfection is a goal, a persistence, and a pursuit. It always inspires us to make progress and keeps us close to it, but it is difficult to achieve. The German philosopher Nietzsche once said, "Don't stay in Ye Ping, and don't climb too high. From half a height, the world looks the best. " I appreciate this "semi-"philosophy more than perfection.
"Half" is the objective existence of nature. "Half a flower, half a month and half a drunk" is also a hazy artistic conception pursued by literati. The phrase "peach blossoms smile from the fence, which seems to be the most affectionate." This "semi-"hazy beauty is vividly portrayed, and its charm is endless. However, no one in this world will pursue incomplete beauty from the beginning, and choosing "half" often contains helplessness.
"Half" is also a way of life. In the "semi-"philosophy of life, being impartial, refusing to accept losses, keeping a low profile and doing things with a high profile conforms to the "golden mean" advocated by Chinese civilization and Confucian culture, and has also become the ideological criterion followed by literati and scholars as officials. Dongpo lay man is a man who knows the philosophy of "half" very well. His career fortune was not smooth and he was relegated. In Qian Chi Bi Fu, he used the word "guest" to express his unhappiness by saying "I mourn my life and admire the infinity of the Yangtze River". But then he turned the pen and said to himself, "Between heaven and earth, everything has its own owner. If it's not mine, it's a dime, but the breeze on the river and the bright moon in the mountains are beautiful to hear. " What a peaceful and open-minded pride this is. It is in response to Fan Zhongyan's words: "Scholars are born in the world, so that they are not complacent and not sick. Where will they go?" What is better and faster to make it complacent? " There is absolutely no need to be too demanding of perfection. "Half" is also a good attitude to deal with things. To say the least, the sky is vast and the world allows me to fly freely. Is it the realm that ordinary immigrant poets can have?
Therefore, we don't need to be demanding perfection, but we can establish our own direction of struggle with this as the goal. Half is inextricably linked with all, half is all organic components, and all is the perfect combination of half. I still remember when the reporter asked the American centenarian who walked 100 km and asked her the secret of successfully completing the journey, she heard the answer: "I don't know how far I can go, but I know I can take a step." The ancients said, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." "If you don't accumulate steps, there will be no miles; If you don't accumulate small streams, you can't become rivers and seas. It can be seen that semi-full combination is very important.
We inevitably pursue perfection, but we don't need to demand perfection. What we need is to keep a good attitude, adhere to the principle of treating people with things, and keep a good faith. That is, there is no need to transform the artistic conception of nature, break the most beautiful tranquility, and even destroy the original sincerity. Even if you encounter difficulties and setbacks, you will not feel sad secretly, and your will will disappear. With a "complete" spirit and a "half" mentality, we can calmly face all kinds of situations in the world and feel warm and cold. What is there to worry about?
